Cold Pour Test: AMSOIL Synthetic Oil versus Conventional Oil

This is a very misleading text. Firstly, we do not have -40 degree temp. Secondly, testing AMSOIL synthetic against a conventional oil?

Please publish the CCS and MRV dynamic viscosities of each product so that the viewing audience can see precisely why oils pour at different rates. Without data these visual demonstrations are not worth much other than to say that product "A" has a lower MRV and CCS rating that product "B". Also, note that the ASTM requirement for a 5W oil is to be tested at -30ºC for the CCS and at -35ºC for the MRV. This -40ºC test is pretty foolish considering it's not related to any regulated industry standard.

Now fucking test Amsoil against another 100% synthetic oil. Same test. This is like testing muddy river water against purified filtered water to see which is cleaner. Another bullshit SCAMSOIL test.

AMSOIL Guys, can you please state % of PAO / ESTER in your 5W20 Signature and 5W40 FS European Formula, It would help me to stand up for your product in multiple forums I participate , in different markets and different languages, I won't probably make your day but hey, every little bit help, right?
I watched the video where gentleman described his own conversation with REDLINE guys where, as per his words, REDLINE rep said that their oil approximately 60%PAO and 40% ESTER, give or take a little bit to keep the secrecy :) and when was asked about closest competitor - AMSOIL, REDLINE Rep said "They're about out there as well", would that be accurate? If not, without opening up any secrets can you please correct to the best your abilities?

Conventional Competitor? Thats a huge stretch. is Competitor Group 1 or Group 2 or Group 3 Hydrockracking or GTL?
I mean, if you had taken Conventional Competitor based on Group 1, which is barely refined crude oil, it is laughable to even try to compare these.
Given that most of the competitors do lie on their label calling conventional hydrockracking Group 3 based oils a Full Synthetic these days but still manage to make some really good (no excellent but really good) oils out of that, it would be nice to have some info about Conventional Competitor otherwise this test may be Toyota Corolla VS Lambo, hey lets see who will get to next traffic light faster...

I do not think the conventional oil at the left is 5w 30 they maybe used a thicker oil just to make it appear it is plain bad just to purchase their brand.

this test is all BS. I had AMSOIL signature series MAX-DUTY 15W40 diesel 25,000MILE drain interval against Canadian tire brand 15W40 conventional oil tested in -20 c both ran the same way, don't beleive me do it youeself

Fake as fuck, what a joke! The container on the left is obviously not conventional oil, it's most likely frozen honey or frozen syrup. I tried this experiment on my own and the conventional oil flows pretty much as good as the synthetic oil. The only difference is that synthetic oil will last longer, but if your annual mileage is low and if you never reach the higher synthetic oil mileage limit then there's no point in using synthetic oil, it's just a waste of money.

you know I see why Amsoil always Compares with a conventional oil. because they're trying to make conventional oils nowadays rival synthetics. when you look in your owner's manual and it says for normal Drive service 10000 mile change intervals they're not talking about a full synthetic they're talking about conventional oil. going 10000 miles on conventional oil.

Amsoil is nothing but hype. Do you all see what they did here? Comparing an unknown conventional oil against a synthetic? That is comparing apples to oranges. Its ridiculous.

okay I'm a big fan of Amsoil that's all I use. and I personally think in my opinion it's the best oil you can buy but.... They should have compared it to another full synthetic oil. obviously conventional oil is no match for a full synthetic oil.

Lets see here, 5-30 isn't recommended for use at -40, the commercial is probably using the cheapest no-name 5-30 possible, and AMSOIL doesn't list the weight of the oil in the video, just the description. I wonder what the oil would do when heated to ~180F and the pour test is done. Does the AMSOIL cling to the parts providing that thin film needed, or just slip and slide like crazy?

it well leak thru seal if the car is older an damage everything an have leaks so regular oil is more better synthetic is good for new cars yes but only to a certain extend thats the bottom line case close but who think they want to use it all the thime good luck when u see oil leaks like Crazy remember u read it here .......
