Dragonbane Solo: Alone in Deepfall Breach

I am thinking of ordering the starter set. Can I play the whole thing solo? Or just this adventure?

Hey. I have a couple of rules questions that I can't find anywhere and this seemed like a great place to ask some friendly gamers.

(1) there isn't an 'insight' skill to see if someone is lying, so the rules say use base Charisma. This seems really weird as all my character's skills that revolve around Charisma, like persuasion or performance, are really low at around 5 but their Charisma is 10. So do we use 5 or 10 as I feel like 10 is too high?

(2) The rules for shift rest (pg. 52 core rules) just say find a safe space and you'll be golden, but the rules for paying money for an Inn (pg. 80 core rules) state you can take a shift rest without making a Bushcraft roll, what Bushcraft roll does it mean? Why would I pay for a room at an Inn when I could just go sleep outside on the grass?

This is so fun to watch. I love Dragonbane system. Its easy and still has intresting things that happens. As easy it is to kill minions you can still easily get killed. So every fight matters.

Love your channel, especially the solo gaming episodes! Recently picked up Dragonbane and I’m loving it! It plays how I always wished D&D would have played! This is my new go to system for classic fantasy games! More Dragonbane episodes like this please!

I'd like to try Dragonbane but I've bought quite a few ttrpg games and this starter set is just too expensive for what you get. It's trying to market itself on par with WOTC without being the market leader. I'd expect a few miniatures in the box set like most other brands trying to establish themselves but it only has card ones and it's more expensive than similar starter sets. Seems greedy to me.

ok, so just another generic, bland RPG... we need some revival in the RPG world, not another iteration of the same ideas, concepts, and mechanisms.

Was a bit confused after reading the directions. When attacking to see if you hit or miss…do you use the number for your Str skill (if using an axe for instance) or the number for the axe skill? Lets say str is 16 and axe skill is 14. Do I roll for the 16 or less or the 14 or less to see if I hit? Thx!
