Hopefully, the release is accompanied by a freebie Elite Tectonic set passive effect too. Magic could use a bit more umpf in general to spice things out. I wouldn't mind staff getting greater concentrated blast (or it having its weapon style limitations removed), despite not really wanting to lose magma tempest, as it's a really handy ability for many things. All in all, very excited for these things, and it feels amazing to have stuff to look forward to in RS3. This is gonna be good. Doubly so if Amascus is behind these events, as that's an unfriendly and dangerous face we haven't run into in a good while. She kind of just kept her head down for the whole Elder God wars and didn't seem to try taking advantage of events for her own ends.

Probably due to all the gods and the likes being present, plus her whole deal of becoming the Devourer having to do with (I believe it was?) witnessing the Elder God Mah. I could see Amascus being terrified and hiding during the Elder God wars, which will not improve her fractured mindset one bit but make her a far more dangerous and unpredictable opponent. I do like it when the more calculating and scheming side of Amascus gets to come out to play, as she makes for a formidable and dangerous villain when she is serious and there are no cats around to foil her plans. And is a nice threat to add to the roster of still around powerful villains. Moia could use some company on that list, me thinks.

Also, wouldn't it be an absolute hoot if Amascus and Moia get set on a collision course with one another? I wonder which one would win that fight, if we don't calculate in Moias Zamorakian armies and Mahjarrat forced servants? While likely (short of Amascus having some secret trump cards up her sleeves) no match for Moias forces, Amascus does have her own army... if she just begins pulling all the various things she has corrupted to one place for a show-down. And she can corrupt some really powerful entities, as seen by the pieces of the various desert pantheon demi-gods. Moia Vs Amascus would be a very interesting matchup. And I honestly can't say which of the two schemers would win in a straight-up fight, despite neither being willing to ever play it fair, and such a brawl would be more resolved by which party manages to cheat better and harder than the other.

Plus, Amascus might just recall enough of her time before the Devourer to recognize some, shall we say, old faces from the days of the Stern Judges. And somehow, I doubt she would react well to running into the same traitors to the Menaphite people cause still here and still opposing her that both her and Ictharin journeyed across the cosmos to find. At the cost of her own mind shattering no less. She would be furious, and the fury of a demi-god soul devourer and corrupter with millennia of experience and done horrors under her belt all drenched in utter madness is no laughing matter.

Madness, revenge, and mayhem ahoy. And oh, what great and terrible power do we know that deals in such things? What power is drawn to all of that? His gaze will be turned on this world. His arrival is inevitable.

I know Amascut is evil and crazy, but I do feel a little bit of sympathy for her given what happened in her past.

Just the nature of progression. As we reach for higher level weapons that could rival gods, the weapons themselves need/will be stronger. Not wanting a T92 weapon to be shadowed by a T95 or even T99 is delusional.

Still find it ridiculous how hard they've powercrept all combat styles after necromancy release and they've yet to justify these changes. I'm always hoping they're going to make difficult bosses and not completely undermine their difficulty by releasing new stuff, but it's tough to say if i'll even be interested.
