Ubisoft and For Honor are in trouble...

Playing for honor will chip away at your soul and leave you jaded. I remember ledging this rep 10 something like 6 times across two games and laughing, but now I have a drinking problem

SolidSol I've been loving and hating this game for a long time and as a console player who's been playing since BETA its time to lay this game to rest.


You gotta understand that they'll never fix this game, I thought cross play would be fun but it just made it worse because of the bots and many scriptors.

Sol as long as the people who are giving the terrible ideas are still working at Ubisoft we'll never get the For Honor we dream of.

I literally finally stopped playing for honor (ps5). It's been 1 month now. And i am rep 653

Am I the only one who only plays against ai and has fun?

I will say this
I play pretty often, but I very, very rarely have server issues.
I didnt even know it was a larger scale problem-

my heaven would be a for honor 2 where they let you keep all your cosmetics, but on a new game (hell, if you had to buy so that they could guarantee a profit that'd be fine, they could make the game like 30 bucks or something) but where you keep EVERYTHING and the game has a ton of new content, refined mechanics, a bunch of hero changes alongside the launch that have been wanted for ages, like 4-5 hero reworks for those in need, changes to everyone that needed them, new feats, maybe a few heroes too, a couple new maps, and maybe one new like 6v6 mode, along with that some basic gameplay improvements like better hit detections, animation improvements, a higher rep cap or a new mechanic to character prestige, hell, maybe some new gear rarities.

However, i think the BIGGEST thing they could do with this is build further into what the game has always been, FANTASY, so many people think this game is supposed to be some historically accurate medieval fighting game, but it's just not, and a second game could let them REALLY build on that, opening a million new ways to add new characters to preexisting factions or entirely new ones through a more distinctly fantasy aesthetic and design, and i feel like this sort of change could renew the dev team's creativity and give us, the players, a game that could last a long, long time.

We need to mention new maps or new game modes to the game you only bring up like server issues and stuff yeah that's a problem but im tired of the same maps and game modes we need new stuff. like one of my biggest issues is like the apolyon color like why do we have to wait for a mode to get it when you could originally get form the story like what that makes no sense the game is dying cause of ubi I blame them I really do it used to be so fun I remember back in the day before cent came out warden was so fun but now I just can't play my favorite mains cause they get nerfed constantly or buffed that doesn't help any in shape or form I mean give everyone hyper armor at this point lol

I think they should definitely add a spartan or 2 and give tribute a make over with special rewards or something also they need to bring stunning tap back or at the very least a stunning knee kick back. Servers need to be worked on too

To save for honor they have to fix servers and ubisoft i know its super hard for you to do this but come out with new maps and not reskins..come out with new maps instead of the same stuff for the last 8 years... Ooor come out with a for honor sequel or better yet a star wars style for honor!

Bro asking for a SBMM it’s the worst idea you had , watch today how it’s horrible already we already suffering because of 4 discord stacks, it’s gonna be worst with a SBMM and not playable in Solo Q … Imagine it in high level lobby SBMM by ur winrate and KD , that’s just gonna be a Stack all day, nowdays high level in modern warfare there is no fun at all to play, i learn to play against better than me in for honor i have 5.25 KD in breach with 75% winrate 13 days play in it with all caractars , people have to learn to play against better , destroying with a SBMM is the worst idea. In all game people have to stop to cry about sometimes to play against good player tho , that’s the fact , you learn to play against everyone, playing against the same level skills than will never gonna be intresting, it’s not like player in for Honor there is « Too much God players »stop with that , learn to play , the only thing they have to improve it’s -> switch lagger , DDOS , servers and nerf shaman and balanced the other weaks Heros there are the reals problems

Why would you say for honor is only like kingdom come and then say you’ve never played it?

I love Ubisofts logic, that characters like Jormungander and Highlander among others who wield these massive and heavy weapons but swing them faster than characters with far lighter weapons like Warden for example, Warden looks like they are swinging an actual greatsword despite using a longsword, same as Black Prior who has a short sword and manages to attack EVEN slower than a guy with a greatsword...

The devs must be on some kind of drug to believe this makes any sense

I would love to test a few simple changes that MAYBE could improve new player experience (and I believe medium–veteran level players may have a potential to enjoy them too)

1) Slow down game JUUUST a little bit. Give players little bit more health and make everything (attacks, dodges, etc.) little bit slower by 15–30%. This would give slower pace for new players to learn and little bit more space for veterans not to get face rolled only because you didn't guess the attack pattern of an enemy (and also works the opposite way so you don't face roll the enemy from 100–0 in a single rotation).

2) Remove soft feint OOOOOR alternatively make sure that every character has an access to it. But honestly I'd prefer it to be removed as it requires a little bit better stamina management. (In addition MY PERSONAL BUT NOT REQUIRED preference would be that feint cost is increased because there's WAY too much guessing right now in the game for my personal taste.)

3) Remove recovery cancels. This makes learning game very hard as many FH mechanics work as simple as "rock paper scissors" but recovery cancels BREAK that idea and game flow.

4) Remove ability to chain after whiffed bashes. I would also consider removing whiffed basic attack combos but it may be little bit too much and limits the potential of 4x4.

5) And of course fix the matcha making system and server issues hehe :))))

PS. I have to honestly admit that I am mostly Duel (1x1) and Brawl (2x2) modes player. I paly 4x4 too but not so often. Thus all the ideas would perfectly fit Duel and Brawl modes. I am not sure that they would work well in 4x4 but at the same time I don't see a specific problem why they would make 4x4 experience in any way worse?

For all the people mentioning why we can't have a white medjay, but can have a black viking, it's not because Ubisoft did it on purpose. It's not that Medjay doesn't lack lighter skin tones because of a purposeful feature, it's because of how the skin tone system in For Honor works. It mixes your selected color with the default skin tone of the character, so while you can mix the dark colors with a pale character and get a darker color, you cant get a very pale skin tone when you mix pale with a dark character, as the darker color overpowers it.

I don’t listen to Reddit complaints in almost any situation because if I like a game, I’m on it and not Reddit. If I don’t like it, I’m going to go play another game, not bitch about it. But this game I hate it and still won’t put it down.

There were definitely black knights jack ass pale skinned mfs are the ones you didn’t see too many of back then the Templars were black and moorish knights sailors and pirates where everywhere

as a new player that plays the game for a year i believe that the game needs better severs and ranked system the characters are fine and i personally believe they are even weak not that broken i am not sure why they hate on the outlanders they must never played league of legends or brawlhalla shii there so disgusting that you need 30min break every game. if i would buy the game i would add mages and arshers and fk the soul of the game intel for honor no more and i am sure it will hit the sky in trems of player base and can fix toxicity and bots problems even so for honor isnt toxic at all

Only way to save For Hobor is by making a For Honor 2 imo. This game is 8 years old and it looks and feels 8 years old. We need a whole new game imo.

I agree with some of what you’re saying but I’m rep 333 funny enough, I’ve only been put in games with people rep 300 total and above I haven’t seen anyone below rep 300 in about a year now I do believe there is skill based mm based on the rep total but idk I could just get lucky and always get good fights. I’ve also never disconnected from a match in 8 years 😂

Ubisoft just needs to sell the license and shut down the servers. The buyer can do a For Honor 2 and fix the issues

first and foremost its funny that you keepm having that convo in 2025. this game is dead for more than half of its life span. 3rd hand mobam games on steam have more players online that FH.

one and the only one issue there is its there is no content updates. game has everything the same as year ago, only new heroes. you cant develop a game like that, and most def you do not develop game by some kind of funny competetive sub. first you make game famous and full of casuals. if game has competetive capabilities then it will unfold on itself, while here you all just forcing competetive sticker on this game. it aint that, really.

rework hella shit including just basic graphical design and UI, new modes, make ranked main theme of this game and flood it with content. its pointless to list whats need to be changed. basically 70% of the base game. so yea, keep playing this niche game and stay hyped for new hero like monkeys in circuss. like, sometimes you need to wait more than 10 mins for ranked duel, can you imagine? all you need is just another player to play, and there is not a single one. and there is a playerbase thats gonna buy new hero or dlc. let that game die.

Right now Ubisoft shares are almost the price of the Heroes and skins. If everyone who bought outlanders and drip instead bought Ubisoft, we'd almost own For Honor by now.

I dont see how assassins creed shadows has anything to do with for honor other than their parent company. But regardless, that doesnt mean theyre the exact same game. They have separate teams, wed have a million rainbow six siege crossovers by now if that were true. People are being way too sensitive about shadows; when it comes to yasuke i mean. Just blatent racism that they spout nonsense about it not being "historically accurate". I think the games sick, im just too busy playing through all the old ac games and too poor to care.

Hope your games havent given you bipolar disorder yet! I think for honor will still get support since it holds a sizeable playerbase like siege, but I just hope ubisoft doesnt mess up a game that has potential like they do with every other title they put out. Let me know what you guys think they should do to improve the company or any of their titles and maybe they'll start taking actual constructive criticism, instead of labeling it as toxic complaining.
