Sand Martin Artificial Nesting Bank Construction 27th Feb 2023

During January/February/early March 2023 we constructed an artificial Sand Martin nesting bank at BWI Cuskinny Marsh Nature Reserve, Cobh, Co. Cork, Ireland. We used the design of the hugely successful bank at nearby Harper's Island Wetlands. I put together this short video on the construction, including a timelapse of us assembling the outer shell on site.
