Is it me or do the levers look PRE dropped/bent ??
ОтветитьIf it's not a ktm it's a turd sandwich!
ОтветитьGreat video thanks man. I love the sound of the Fantic. Looks like the bike is dialed in now. Great bike. I definitely want a Fantic.
ОтветитьLooks like a KTM killer
ОтветитьThe Beta is the real Italian. ❤
ОтветитьForget about KTM’s already, we are past that.
ОтветитьWhen you investigate the low end (compared to the KTM) discuss weather it gearing or actual the engine.
Ответитьpretty cool stuff......thanks for sharing!!
ОтветитьVibration is not a big deal
ОтветитьEvery crankshaft I removed and tested no matter what bike really never had a trued balanced crankshaft. And I think this is a result of how the crank was handled prior to its install into the bike. Most of the European bikes had one person build it with a QC certification it was done correctly. Even my 85 husky 500xc was sent exported from Sweden with a QC tag from the builder attached to the bike when purchased. Mechanics back in the day took pride in their builds and would true the crank before install same way I do it today. If the crank is handled by multiple people shipping agencies or not really QC’d then it just might be off in balance enough to cause a noticeable harmonics vibration through the bike. It took me several hours to retrue my 500xc after I repressed a connecting rod and carefully installed it back in the cases. My 85 500xc has less vibration than my 83 Cr480r which was never rebuilt. I doubt the factory builders are checking these cranks after handling before they install them in the cases with these new bikes.
ОтветитьIt’s a badass bike,,
ОтветитьAwesome dude. And yes this is content for true enthusiasts and you are doing something really cool with the channel.... Keep it up.
ОтветитьWith ktm future questionable, always good to see a modern TBI, electric start, oil injected, counter balanced, etc 300 to complete! Really interested to see how suspension works on the trail. Awesome videos.
ОтветитьInteresting bike , I wonder if they will make a W version? Maybe more of a trail bike with a Kickstarter?
ОтветитьBecome an importer ! Bike is sick !
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWhat would a Fantic 300 retail for in USA.
ОтветитьWould it be terribly difficult to stick a KTM 300 motor in a YZ250 frame? Wonder how that would compare to the Fantic.
ОтветитьWho cares how much it vibrates lol, I went from the yz to a 24 gasgas 300 and yeah sure does it vibrate a little less yeah but is it night and day no not really. You get on the bike and ride and the vibrating doesn’t matter one bit
ОтветитьMan what a good looking machine. Thank you for sharing and all you do .
ОтветитьI am selling my 2024 TBI bought a Rieju gonna putt on SmartCarb on it NO MORE FUEL injection
ОтветитьI spose we are going to have to wait until we get an impression on the dirt... Is this supposed to be an cross-country or enduro bike? My KTM EXC is awesome in slower tight stuff, but you do feel its out of its element in faster open stuff. I put that down to suspension valving, rake angle, PDS. I have always thought (my son rides yz125) that the YZ geometry is fast motorcross. Is this bike a YZ250X/KTM250XC competitor and not an EXC competitor?
ОтветитьLet’s hope Yamaha sees the writing on the wall for KTM (Pierer Mobility) and starts to make the Yamaha branded versions of these bikes legally available in the US.
ОтветитьPLEASE just ride the bike stock and don’t fiddle and f’ with it into submission like you do all your bikes. Just run it stock and tune it. The more you mess with the bikes the more problematic they become for you. The beta was proof.
ОтветитьCool to have options but what about parts and availability and or aftermarket items????
ОтветитьMorgan: Agree with you. You've made some very cool videos, including this one. Loved seeing test ride by father & son!
ОтветитьHello Morgan
The two stroke sound is sick, sounds like a perfect jetted carburated bike. I hope Yamaha and Fantic hear our voices and why not, they should make you a dealer. I bet you would sell at least a hundred! 👍
So good ❤ looking forward to your first track ride and yes you've done some kool things through this channel
ОтветитьThat map 2 looks like a lot more vibrations 😬🫨
ОтветитьMy initial impression is… it looks like a dirtbike, talks like a dirtbike and walks like a dirtbike. It must be a duck.
Why didn’t you try out that funky stock pipe?
Did u have a crash and injure your hand?
ОтветитьI am really failing to see the hype with these “modern” 2 stroke enduro bike. Why is everyone freaking out over 30 year old technology?
ОтветитьAll we need Yamaha to do now is make a 4 stroke 350!!! To say that bike would sell like hotcakes is an understatement. ESPECIALLY given the issues KTM is having (and I own a '23 SX-F 350!) Great series on the Fantic! Being that I'm Italian, I'm wondering why they didn't give it a name that ends in a vowel.
ОтветитьKTM got rid of the fuel link coming off the tank on the bottom due to breakage, the Fantic looks ripe for breakage where the fuel line connects at the bottom of the tank. Would like to have seen Brembo brakes on it. Love the fact that it's a Yamaha in sheep's clothing, so to speak. Is it a 5 speed or 6 speed? Excellent show! Nice work as always.
ОтветитьHow does the quality compare to a KTM?
ОтветитьGreat vid! I know this may sound silly, but I'm having a hard time taking the "Fantic" name seriously...it just sounds so cartoonish and like something you would order off of Amazon. That plastic fuel connection at the tank seems like it could be broken very easily. Looking forward to the rest of this series. But, being an exercise science guy, I am REALLY looking forward to more of your personal health journey!
ОтветитьWet 💦 as fk bike is fier
ОтветитьVideos are fier
ОтветитьCoooooool bro. Very interested to see the upcoming content on this bike!
ОтветитьWish they made a two-stroke 500
ОтветитьTime to get her dirty.Looks great and sounds great.Hope that hand is back to normal soon.
ОтветитьThe speedo sensor looks like the one I’ve got on my 2020 wr250f, a plastic disc snapped into the brake rotor and a sensor held in place with the axle clamp bolts? i think it’s used from 2020 and onwards on the wr’s. Only problem i had is that some aftermarket yz/wr rotors aren’t adapted for the “new” style sensor thing. The disc fit the wheel but the sensor plastic thing didn’t fit into the rotor. So that might be a small headscratcher in your future. 🍺
Ответитьpumped for ya
ОтветитьWish list had a kick 🦵 as well and more gas
ОтветитьI know the sound in a video is different than the sound in real life, but I would be very surprised if that bike doesn't share a lot more internal Yamaha design and parts. Just judging from that typical Y-Zed clutch clatter. I am so hopeful that a version of these these will make its way legally to North America dressed in blue.
ОтветитьI wish Yamaha had like REAL ENDURO bikes again like the old IT's but YZ150XE YZ200XE 250/300 6 SPEED could add E-start/Hydro Clutch WAY less money and KEIHIN carb No need for EFI, all sorts of electrical additions that run the cost up then throw in the fuel pump (after a few years ALL of it is discontinued). Then the bike has no value. Also, sensors and out in middle of no where it fails and leaves you stranded. Of course headlight/tail light (then could TAG it) but - leave the EFI off it is a DIRT BIKE and no one is changing elevation from 0 to 15,000 feet everyday riding.
ОтветитьYou should do a tm300en tbi next. At least you don’t have to specially import one to get one.
ОтветитьSounds killer.
ОтветитьI saw this bike at the corduroy enduro in Canada in September. There is a distributor now in Canada and there are a few on the trails in Ontario and Quebec. There was a lot of interest in this bike at that race.
