mpv and vlc exist, so everything else is useless
ОтветитьNever heard of Movie Monad. Thanks for sharing with us!
ОтветитьA bit off topic, but anyone knows why my Linux Mint doesn't play sound through HDMI? It worked fine on the Windows install.
ОтветитьI use mplayer, it's command bassed, but to the basics (and not so basic) only "mplayer file.mp4" it's needed. Also it's very customizable and if you need a GUI there is smplayer. I prefer it to vlc and mpv.
ОтветитьI think I still prefer mpv!
I can use it a makeshift music player too if I point it to my music directory !!
It looks awesome, I'll take a look. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьLooks pretty nice; But the haskell requirement is a deal breaker for me, alas. :)
Ответитьlooks pretty clean thanks for sharing ! : )
ОтветитьNothing ever beat mpv for me. SMPlayer is also interesting
Ответитьyet another MPV user... I also use Audacious for music and Kodi for binge watching TV shows
ОтветитьArrghhh, another one to keep up with the plaque called app, snap, flat younameit... I find it in my repo, fine let's take a look. If i need to containerize it (if that word exists), ** NO!
Ответить>directory structure
thanks for not using the f word. and for showing this, really nice UI.
How can I configure it??
ОтветитьI'm happy with MPV so far.
ОтветитьWhy does everyone like MPV so much? I tried it and saw that it hardly offers any options so I can't see how it's better than VLC. Can anyone explain?
ОтветитьThat'd be a no go for me. Only because of that title bar at the top pushing the whole video down. Be great if it could be an overlay instead.
Ответитьlove you derek and also vlc
ОтветитьVlc is on android too
Ответитьpotplayer is the go-to on windows, full hw decoding support, proper sound handling
mpv is okay on linux
Always ffplay for me!
ОтветитьFirst time hearing about this application. Thanks for sharing with us. Btw, I still prefer my combo: MPV for video and MPD + NCMPCPP for music
ОтветитьI prefer mpv for playing my videos because it is very light and fast but it isn't easy to install on Windows, something not really important for me but important for some people. There are plenty of good video players but most of that people will prefer use something they know well like vlc instead of another player, sadly, no matter how good it is.
Ответитьvlc is quite good, but my preference is always mpv.
ОтветитьI really think mpv is superior than vlc in any aspect, and is also suckless.
Ответитьtried the AUR ver... didn't work.
ОтветитьReally shitty cause it doesn't support subtitles, it says on the github that it DOES support, but i tried EVERYfuckingTHING to make it work, i tried dragging the file, opening a menu but it doesn't work. So i uninstalled. Very poor.
ОтветитьThank you, Derek. Videos are bloat unless they play in ascii. Seriously, I like VLC but usually use MPV. I might try this out though.
Ответитьmpv is the only video play you'll ever need.
ОтветитьDoes it have support for subtitles and multiple audio channels?
ОтветитьAppImage was available from 1 year? 🤔😮😲
ОтветитьThis comment is for the algorithm. Loving this channel.
Ответитьany video players that work without x?
