The new stag release is not worth it
ОтветитьJust got a small batch for $107 CAD in Toronto.
ОтветитьEh Taylor Small Batch $80 north of Nashville. Benchmark Full Proof $25. Get the Benchmark
ОтветитьStagg Jr. used to be the best bourbon for $60 you could buy. Now I rarely spot it in the wild around here, and never listed for under $250. No thanks.
ОтветитьAlmost all of those bottles are Unicorns in Ohio... Secondary Matket is Atrocious
ОтветитьBT is over hyped
ОтветитьBuffalo Trace puts out good whiskey but most people have stopped even looking for these bottles as they are all allocated and when you do find them, they are at secondary prices. Couple that with a piss poor economy and you have a huge group of people that are looking elsewhere for their bourbon fix. There is a ton of other bourbons that are readily available and just as good, if not better. I agree, this is absolutely generated by Buffalo Trace and eventually will come back to bite them.
ОтветитьBuffalo Trace has great quality control, it can't be understated how amazing it is that they ship so much of so many different products (albeit the same mash bill) nationally with such consistency.
ОтветитьI just started to get into bourbons and whiskeys, as well as just started to work in a liquor store in nj. Most of that table in the store I'm at is 150 dollars and up. The Blantons gold was 400 dollars 😢
ОтветитьIt's ridiculous that Buffalo trash products are difficult to purchase. Can't find any of their products on the shelf.
ОтветитьEH small batch is $56 with tax here in FL at Winn Dixie’s near me. Hard to find though!
Usually $100 at most shops here
E.H. Taylor around Pittsburgh area is minimum $120/bottle if you can ever see it. :/
ОтветитьLove the channel guys. I got the 24A about a month ago for 54 bucks. In AZ. Not at Walmart 😊
ОтветитьN Southern Ohio and Northern KY, I haven’t found a bottle of Eagle Rare in more than 10 years.😨. Thirty years ago I could get Eagle Rare every day for $28.00. I sure miss hose days.
ОтветитьBuffalo trace is super common, and cheap here in the UK, $25 for a (70cl) bottle, on every supermarket shelf, no wonder you can't get it there. Ive also had sazarac and eagle rare too, both heavily discounted below mrsp too!
ОтветитьI'm german and came only recently from irish whisky to bourbon. I like Eagle Rare 10; on Amazon it's available for €39.99, that's about 45,- US-Dollar. Eagle Rare 10 is the only product from BT I tried so far, but after this video I think I'll taste some others, too ...
ОтветитьI just picked up 2 - Small Batch bottles each for $57. Not bad for Miami, FL. The Buffalo Trace is always in abundance at $29. Blanton’s is pretty hard to find they are about $70 and Stagg is $80. I have only found 1 - bottle of Weller - Special Reserve, and that was a mission. I have never found any other bottle. It was $36.
ОтветитьIt’s not buffalo traces fault it’s so popular
ОтветитьKudos guys. Agree I think the rarity pushes the price
ОтветитьJust saw a Weller 12 on the shelf in Miller Place NY for $279. No thanks.
ОтветитьSooooo kid says they didn't have a regular Blanton's so he had to get this Gold bottle...but there appears to be one on the top shelf in between their heads. Unless that's a fancy one too?
ОтветитьI live in New York it’s crazy how much higher our prices are
ОтветитьAs a Buffalo Trace fan, I really appreciate this. There are bottles I know I can't find, and I've accepted it, but I still hunt and hope. I may love their juice but I also know there are equally good things out there that I can find every day.
ОтветитьEHT Small batch goes around 89 near me trades for 100 value
ОтветитьI got plenty of eagle rare, if you need a couple!
ОтветитьA blind suggestion, guys. Newer kids on the block bourbons. Hard Truth, New Riff, Hard Truth, Frey Ranch, Still Austin, and Dark Arts. I love your blinds. I fill it is a honest assessment of the bottles y'all taste. Thanks for your time and energy put in to your streams. A fun way to learn about bourbons.😂
blind
What’s a realistic price for Eagle Rare and Blantons.
ОтветитьI have nine of those bottles and they're all open.
Ответитьa thing that chaps my arse is in lieu of the “ungettedness” is secondary market pimps having CASES AND PALLETS of the stuff demanding outlandish $$$….somethings wrong with that! 🤬
ОтветитьI like Rock Hill Farms
…very hard to find though 😡😭
Unfortunately, I was not lucky and never had a chance to purchase any EH Taylor. As far as a Blanton's I got only 2 bottles 1. Regular one and 2. Green label that I got as a gift from my friend. Weller is only a special reserve. No, any Stagg or Thomas Handy 😂 And Puppy Van Winkle just a dream 😂
ОтветитьTerrific video guys ! I agree on the difficulty to find issue. I'm in Illinois near St. Louis. Regular Buffalo Trace is a bugger to find here; cross the river and it's easy to find.
I was in Arizona earlier this year and a grocery store had literally CASES of BT on the floor. CASES.
Good honest video, and it makes me feel ok to see that I have a pretty good stable of BT products, so that helps keep everything in perspective, enjoying an Eagle Rare 10 while this one played,
Ответить"Hard to find". Step it up to unattainable for most because that is closest to reality. Which regardless of how good, consistent, and quality BT products are I will not purchase to support them for the fabricated exclusivity and scarcity. Plus the blatant lie they pushed on the Republic national distributor when BT non renewed and canceled the contract. Look into it for yourselves
ОтветитьI can come across most of those decent here in Ky. The pappy no, but the others not to bad to get ahold of here.
ОтветитьSadly the Antique series just cost in Europe over 700€.... :( I´ve found the Stagg Junior also for 130 € ...way more than in the US. A bit strange because the Wild Turkey Master Keep series you could buy for 200€...
ОтветитьAgreed! Pappy is very overrated. Way too much oak. Go lick a tree and take a sip of a regular Eagle Rare! As a daily drinker, regular Buffalo Trace, or even a Bowman Bros( Virginia redistilled Buffalo Trace)
ОтветитьYOU ARE DRIVING THE PROBLEM WHILE ENRICHING YOURSELVES AT THE EXPENSE OF YOUR VIEWERS! GFY X 2!!!
ОтветитьIn California and Colorado you can find Buffalo Trace ever day for $25 or less on sale. Even 1L’s for 24.99 at Costco. Always available, it’s crazy. I have friends in other states the if they can find it it’s $50…
ОтветитьStagg jr is probably the bottle I have been looking for the longest. Hope to try it and and get to buy it some day.
ОтветитьI've been able to get all of those including the Rockhill Farms but minus the BTAC and Pappy’s fairly easily here in CA and at MSRP or very close to it. That said, the availability of BT products, weather, outdoor recreation and ocean are unfortunately the only things this state has going for it.
ОтветитьBuffalo Trace regular is pretty much available all the time in the South. TN, MS, GA. EagleRare I get 4-5 bottles per year. EH Taylor is rarely available. Elmer I can get occasionally but I refuse to pay $400 +
ОтветитьPeople can't buy what they can't git. Seems that B.T. has ah production issue. Is it "deliberate" or otherwise ... Jus don't no. I've only had their entry bottle and frankly it's good but can't hold ah candle to, nor beat tha ... "Turk"!. Everyman's bottle at a reasonable Everyman's price. And on every liquor store's shelf coast to coast nationwide. Morning, noon and late night as well. Tha Turk is always around gobble-gobble-in to serve your everyday liquor needs. So please don't ruffle my feather's talk'in s___t 'bout tha Turkey. Just don't do it. The Turk, unlike the other's is ah rather reserved bird and not into all tha hype. He's cocky, proud and knows he's not just good, but tha very best. Try him, you'll like him I assure you.
ОтветитьYeah, I use Stagg sparingly on my pancakes. Aunt Jami-ma's pissed don-cha no.
ОтветитьLol on my third bottle of eagle rare sipping it right now. Its my favorite of the trace line, better than blantons
ОтветитьPick up bottle of Buffalo Trace today $45🇨🇦😁
ОтветитьTaylor is 300 and up here in CA 😢 Weller same, and eagle rare is like finding a unicorn people want 600. Omg and don’t even talk about Pappy that’s 3k to 20k lol
ОтветитьWhy didn’t you go over the Benchmark line. It’s readily available here in NC and it has a great flavor
ОтветитьYou guys got me into bourbon, hunted the blantons for 3 months. I finally found it, it was $100, plus I had to spend an extra $100 just to be able to buy it. Wasn't a fan. 1yr later still have 3/4 of it. Eagle rare 10yr is my favorite, never see it for msrp and it's usually $60-$80.. I've seen it for $90 but wouldn't spend that much on it.
ОтветитьIknow a local store that gets eagle rare I just got a bottle slight mark up
Ответить
