ОтветитьLove it! I actually got my first set of watercolors yesterday because I've seen some amazing work done with it and also want to try them with pastels. Too bad I still haven't got any proper watercolor paper :D
ОтветитьLoved this video. Another great tutorial
ОтветитьReally enjoyed watching this process. Portraits intimidate me so much. This is beautiful. Your talent never ceases to amaze me!
ОтветитьSusan what are the very best set of soft pastels that you recommend?
ОтветитьInspirational! Loved it! :) Makes me think about going back to doing portraits again.
ОтветитьI have never worked on a pastel portrait using your approach. I'm going to try one this week. That was absolutely lovely.
ОтветитьWhy the NuPastels? Can one use any pastels with water?
ОтветитьWe miss you.
ОтветитьSuch a beautifully rendered portrait, Susan! Inspiring!!!!
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing, I love it. I’m just starting to use pastels and have never painted a portrait. Would love to know what paints you used. Also please recommend pastels. Love your work

ОтветитьBeautiful piece. Did you paint on the nupastels as watercolors, or used a specific watercolor paint?
ОтветитьDear Susan, what are Nupastels? Do you mean the pastels from Prismacolor company? Sorry, I'm from Germany, Europe. And Terry Ludwig Pastels are very expensive here and difficult to get. Do you know other very good pastels available in Germany or Europe? Do you know the super soft pastels TOISON d'Or from Koh-I-Noor, I think from Czechia, relatively cheap and I think they are not bad. Or soft pastels from Schmincke, from Germany, easy to get here but also very expensive? Thank you so much for your wonderful lessons. Your pictures are so wonderful. Thank you. Cheers Britta
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your technique!!!!!!
ОтветитьSuch a sweet expression and the soft look you have achieved is perfect on it. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьBeautiful. Have you combined the pastel watercolor and finish it with colored pencil? Bet that would be great
Ответитьbeautiful
ОтветитьSo inspiring! I searched Nupastel as I have an unused new set and love the idea of using them with water colour. Your video has made me want to try portraiture. I love how fluid your painting is and how much colour is used.
