Brand new forks placed on the flagstones. I can't watch
ОтветитьQuite nice those forks! I am more on the trail side and the Pike Ultimate has been my trail fork of choice. On the Enduro bike, I enjoy my Manitou Mezzer!😊
ОтветитьThanks for another great review!!! I always wished that fox would use the sag gradient markers like rockshoks do,sad to see rockshoks moving away from this. They both look like nice forks though.Cheers!!!!
Ответить👍 Hola. Siempre inspirando . Eres de verda un tio q da ilusion a todo. Comentario de un profesional. Me inspiraste mucho. 🏆.
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьI hope this new fork solves the bushing play problem of the the previous generation 120mm Sid 35. Nearly every review of a bike with a Sid had to have the fork serviced because of bushing play. There were bikes that I might have bought, like the Transition Spur, but I hesitated because the bike came with a Sid. By the way, the Spur now comes with a Fox 34.
ОтветитьA race fork with manual lockout makes no sense
ОтветитьGreat comparison. I’m running SID SL Ultimate on my XC. That’s the one with the Race Day damper. Love it. It’s light and works well.
ОтветитьGreat review…the different forks get me so confused…
ОтветитьI go to that store lol cool
ОтветитьBeen exclusively on sids since 2001. I love every sid edition
ОтветитьMy new Trek Supercaliber gen 2 came with the new Sid sl. Works great. Better than the new Fox sc 34 and very easy setup. Mine has remote lockout which greatly increases the functionality when doing any smooth climbing. Great video. Thanks
ОтветитьI wonder what fox will bring to the table once they release a new 34 stepcast, I ride the 2022 version and its blown me away, much better then the 2021 pike ultimate I replaced tbh. The new SID 35 forks seem pretty much the same as before but they fixed the bushing problem which is great, I also like the look of the wider stanchions but I don't know if its just me but I hate the look of the new crown machining, maybe it looks better in real life
ОтветитьI just replaced the lowers on my Sid because of bushing play. 😖 I hope they last.
ОтветитьVideo title spelling mate! The forks look good, nice colour, the square edges are a little odd, not bad odd just different.
ОтветитьWrongly installed adapter :) you'll never could fit the wheel.
ОтветитьA bit cheap with the fork not coming stock with the bolt-on fender!
ОтветитьThank sram for doing forks in another great color!
ОтветитьI'd love to build a light weight modern geo steel or Ti hardtail with the SID ultimate 120mm fork. My bank balance won't let me though....
ОтветитьBeautiful fork. Love the color. Grail fork for me.
Ответитьi honestly Love the Color of the Blue Sids.
but, those bushing issues discourages me from buying the New Sids
Great review. Always look forward to an in depth review that you do. Best presenter on Y/T. Cheers
ОтветитьAfter the bushing issues on the last model I switched to Fox step cast
ОтветитьCan you get your viewers a deal through that shop?
ОтветитьSL for me
ОтветитьAt the World Cup, competitors ride on Sid SL, Sid 35mm, RockShox Flight Attendant. Blow my mind 😁
ОтветитьOh nice, Im close to the Saugua, got a link to buy?
ОтветитьFor the love of god stop banging the forks together!!! Just as well they are not your forks lol i would be ragin!! Apart from that good review.
ОтветитьHello, I asked myself the same question for my future Supercaliber Gen 2 which will be equipped with the SID SL. I wrote to Sram support and they wrote me this:
"The SID SL Ultimate (D1) has a maximum tire width of 60 mm, which corresponds to about a 2.3" tire. It will be best to mount the new tires on your Kovee wheels, then measure the setup once installed in the fork to make sure the necessary clearance is available.
Unfortunately, I have no way of confirming clearance.
I apologize for not being able to give you an accurate answer. Let me know if you have any Further questions SRAM Rider" support
I’m running 2.35 Maxxis tires with plenty of clearance on the SC gen 2.0
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this in-depth look. Have you seen the 2024 Sid Select yet? I'm trying to set up a bikepacking rig with a 120mm fork. I want a fork that will last 1000's of km without servicing, and is durable. Any thoughts on Ultimate vs Select?
Ответитьhi! great work and infos! a doubt in sid 35mm comparing older version... is use same lower or is a different dimensions? I know the bushing spacing are differente, but the lower legs are the same?
ОтветитьI had two 120mm sid ultimate forks and never noticed any play, not even pushing bike against wall, but I currently have a 100mm SL wich do have play, but to be honest...100% unnoticeable when riding
ОтветитьVídeo objetivo e bastante didático, e o melhor: legendas em portuguese.🎉
Ответитьi just installed one of the 110mm SID SLs on my mtb no. 4, i like the light weight and firm yet smooth dampering. i have 4 hardtail mtbs, one with Fox Factory 21 and one with DT Swiss F232 one, my personal preference is DT Swiss F232 one as it's got soft dampering, moderate firmness plus light weight.
ОтветитьI accidentally ordered the from with remote. But I don’t want the remote, can you remove the remote assembly on the fork? And I want that knob you have.
Ответитьcurrently debating going with the older Sid sl for cost saving and wondering if it will be a noticeable difference compared to the newer sl?
Ответить@LoveMTB is that the gloss blue? Online photos show it to be much lighter in color. Have you done a comparison video yet to the Fox 34SC?
ОтветитьBest review so far!
ОтветитьGreat review ! Interestingly my 2024 SID Ultimate 3P Remote included a hard screw-on mudguard, not a plastic one. No sag scale though. I think I have a crush on that Blue Crush paintjob. 💙
ОтветитьDo you find the Lock postion to be as rock-solid ass marketed? Mine SID 2024 3pos remote is far from being solid , even softer than Fox SC FIT4 lockout. I tested another brand new very same fork and it is still not fully locked. Very strange. C1 forks are much solid in Lock pos.
ОтветитьSo i have with good working 2021 120mm with no play. I have some damper leaks but it's manageable. I love my 35. Is the new one better in your opinion ?
ОтветитьHow do you feel about the extra pedal setting vs the remote lockout open and firm?
ОтветитьHow do you like this fork compared to the stepcast
ОтветитьWhat's your opinion on the performance?
ОтветитьWhat wheel rim size fits like the hub or axle whatever bought the fork and can’t find rims to fit
ОтветитьI changed my sid 32 sl with problems with the lockout, to a 34 sc, the sid was incredibly soft on small bumps and with the 34 sc I am not happy from the beginning, I notice the over-damped fork and poor initial sensitivity, although on certain occasions 34 sc changes during the ride and feels really good, I'm not sure if the problem is in the fit4, but if the problem with the cartridge and bushings was solved I think these new sids could be a better option to find that sensitivity that I don't get in the fox.
ОтветитьWhats colour?
