Albino Cory Catfish Care (Need to Know)

I love my Albinos

I have albino and bronzes and julis Corry catfishes they love to hide they get along with each other I love my Corey catfishes :)

You literally didn’t talk about how you feed them,what you feed them and how often.

Cory catfish can be kept with gravel but if you do keep them with sand they will sift it through their mouth and drop the sand out their gill plates. It is the weirdest thing to watch and when I first saw it I thought something was terribly wrong with them, lol. They are like little Roomba keeping my top layer of sand white and clean.

Can u help I recently got 6 abino Cory's but 3 have died in the last week they firstly stop swimming around then they start breathing heavy and if they moved they were swimming funny all my other fish have been fine including 3 stripe Cory's and gouramis that have been in the tank for a lot longer.

I have a small tank and only have a few neons in with him. 😕 if I get him another cory to socialize with, does it need to also be albino? I’d like to be able to tell them apart

I have had my two albino cories now for about 6 months. They have been pretty chill fish mates but lately they are behaving differently. They are both swimming toward the top of the tank and hanging out against the glass. The other day they were behind the filter they we’re together but I’m just worried something is wrong. Is it common for them to behave like this?

Sometimes mine swims and it seems as if a string is pulling him to the side then goes back to swimming normal then does it again and stops for like am hour then happens again

I have one albino Cory catfish and do they stay in Paris normally cuz I had ones that died in my power cut off and now I only have one and I don't know what to feed it so we keep it in a pretty small tank like for betta fish but not too small and do you sand or rocks for your Cory catfish cuz it's my favorite pet in the world compared to my dog but yeah I don't know what to feed it so can you please reply to to this comment and are betta fish and Cory catfish compatible to go in the same tank cuz I got a betta fish and a Cory catfish

My one albino cory came from the fish store without his whiskers. I didn't notice until I put them all in my aquarium. His whiskers never grew back and I've had his for 2 years now. Hes very happy.

I grew up raising Sea Monkeys' Brine Shrimp, and the way the Albino look and swim all about the tank, skimming for food, reminds me of Sea Monkeys. They are great fish and friendly too. They don't look to cause trouble.

I have 3 babies in a ten gallon with a fighting fish. They get along great. Don't worry, I'll get a 20 gallon tank soon.

This fish is such a joy to watch! Initially bought it to help clean the tank and now I favor it the most verse the bettas.

I think my albino now feel lonely.
He/she is lone survivor, 5 cory panda died one by one (water's parameters, water' temperature, my mistake lack of knowledge).
I will adopt 5 corys albino again with upgraded knowledge of mine.
I think they are schools with their spesific kind. Panda with pandas, Albino with albinos, etc.

They blend in with my substrate and they’re not scared of the gravel vac 😂 so I gotta be real careful to not suck them up when I clean

I walked into a petsmart and saw 2 of these by themselves lonely.. one hiding and the other swimming up and down. I brought them home and they are amazingly active and skinning the bottom with my other 4 panda Cory's

I have 1 pepper cory and it outlived all my fish. It lived by himself for 6 months and hid a lot. I recently added 2 albino, 4 angel fish, and 4 flame tetras. Now its more active and actually the small. albino cory stay by the pepper cory

I love mine, I had 6 neon tetra, 3. Endlers , had three albino corys but just bought three more so they’re a proper little shoal lol. Also have one mollie which was accidental, getting another mollie to keep her company soon. Two apple snails one of which is huuuge now but still gets bumped off the side of the tank accidentally by my corys lol. Mine sort of eat, play, swim around for ages , sometimes hang about in the bottom, often 4 will be zipping about while two are just chilling on a leaf , they all do this odd little freeze frame sometimes, then randomly jump start sbd start sifting again lol. Love them

My Albino Cory has been crazy since day 1. He swims near the top , swimming side to side, up and down at the speed of lightning. We named him Crack for obvious reasons. What’s wrong with him !??? lol . I have a Panda Cory who tries to follow him everywhere but he’s too fast. Anybody else have a crazy one? I had no idea they were supposed to be in group until after we got them. Got three different kinds. The albino eats well and does seem exceedingly happy but it’s like he’s on drugs?! Hence the name Crack . I’m not sure what to make of it

Ive occasionally used one to clean a 6 gallon bottom. 2 days and the sand is spotless and it goes back with its friends in the huge tank. Its like a little vaccuum.

I keep my bronze corydoras with crushed coral. I use their barbel length and look as an indicator for their health. I noticed that the two that had kind of stumpy barbels grew theirs out when they were away from fish that stressed them out like my rosy barbs. They also seemed far shier with zebra danios zipping around everywhere. Right now, I keep the same group with a group of male guppies, and they now exhibit extremely playful behavior and swim quite frequently throughout all levels of the tank - bottom, mid, and top.

While im a HUGE cory fan, the albino is my least favorite. My favorite is the duplicate cory which i plan on keeping in my 32g fluval flex im buying soon. I know people say i need to use sand, but I've never had an issue keeping corys on smooth gravel, but this time im going to use natural color rounded river pebbles

What do they look like sleeping ????? I just got mine today and all of them are floating belly up at the top of tank but will swim around rapidly if I stimulate them .

I am a new tank owner. I have 3 platy, 2 panda molly, and an Albino Cory. Live to watch him work. Should I get another? 10 gal tank
