thanks for sharing your journey. i've never grew a beard till now. usually by 3 or 4 months it looked too bad. this time i finally made it past 6 months on my way to a year. I trimmed it a tad after 3 months. I'd say if you're trying to grow one give it a good 6 months of no trimming, though. mine is finally getting to the point where the hairs are long enough to fill in some of the more sparse spots and I can use a hair dryer and a round brush to style it pull it straighter. and younger guys should know that it might take longer in you 20s to grow a good beard. it can get to be less sparse as you get older.

At 35 I'm trying to grow my first full beard. It's hard to be patient and confident as it's patchy

Using a comb, round brush, straightener, indeed some oil/wax and a blowdryer could tackle those fly-aways and curls if you comb against the curl.

Your beard looked best at 2 months. Keep shaving after 50yr beard fills in more on it own.

The stoppage of Minoxidil treatment must be after a long period of continued use, 6 months to a year at least, and shouldn't be abrupt; you'd've kept the gains if you started decreasing the dose slowly (once a day during a couple months, then once every other day)

This video gave me a lot of hope, have been growing my beard out for 4 months now. I do not feel like giving up but it convinced me to not use monoxidyl or any sort of product like this. I will keep going just like you did. Thanks man very informative video.

8 months isnt enough. Once the hair is terminal its safe to stop using minox but if you shave or stop before the hair has turned terminal it falls off incase u stop and doesnt grow back incase u shave

At your worse i wish was my best.

I couldn't grow facial hair other than above my lip and on my chin.

Then one day i got lazy and didn't shave it. Then i looked in the mirror like a week ( i tend to stay away from them ha) and i had a decent amount of facial hair! So i just started trimming it and letting it grow. It didnt last long, cause a few months to a year i noticed it starting dying 🙄 and dying pretty quick, even above my lip and on my chin🙄 so me back to just shaving again🙄

As for my head, im fine with losing it. Since i was a kid. My brother buzzed it as a joke, when giving me a haircut, i was like oh ... I like this better than my thick, wavey hair. Kids at school where like😮you look so much better buzzing your hair i was like right?😏 When im outdoors though, gotta wear a hot or hood a lot of the time, it gets too hot during warm and hot days obviously, then too cold at the end and beginning of the days. So thats like the only timing i hate about buzzing my head, making sure i have hats and and hoodies with me always 🙄 besides spring time , but thats but thats only like 2 months outta the year before my head started getting to hot and buring again when I'm out.

Why don't you try Minoxidil on your beard? You could fill in all the sparse areas and make it way more dense in general

And when you reached the peak length and it starts to get wispy in parts and thin etc, simply trim it back slightly to a solid point and it will look full and tidy again! Despite trimming off a lil length. Never give up
