The mom needs a haircut as punishment for trying to do that to her daughter

Does the same apply for boys? Sure seems like it doesn't. Happened to me many times. Happens to girls there is outrage and CPS might even be called. Happens to boys and they need it. It's good for them. Funny even. Look at the dad who shaved his daughters head for getting highlights and the response. Now, look at male children being made to look like old men and forced to parade around schools. And it's so funny it's been on nationwide talk shows as a joke. Many were encouraging it and saying great parenting! Apparently, boys don't have feelings and don't have the right to form their own identity. They shouldn't care about how they look at all because that's just girly I guess. lol

I also refuse to do haircuts as a punishment. Wont do it nope.

At least she wasnt trying to shave her head or something, but thats still a weird and likely ineffective punishment for skipping class. Its not like having a less flattering haircut will MAKE her work harder in school.

I totally get this scenario only with my daughter she didn't want to take care of her hair and she had been warned several times and I also help her brush it out many times but until I took her to get it cut off she refused to take care of it

Sure the hair will grow back, but the emotional damage may be forever.

My Mom Cut my hair into a short Bob and Left it like that when I was 7 to 12. all Because I "" wouldn't Keep My Hair Brushed" My Hair is fine and I was Playing so It knotted a Lot But she didn't cut my sisters hair. This is evil

as someone who had a stylist cut my hair as punishment because my grandma was the adult and I was the child so to them my consent didn't matter. I applaud her for not doing it. Haircuts should never be a punishment ever.

The mom is trying to get her shunned so that she doesn't have anything else to focus on but her schoolwork. She is going about it the wrong way but seems to have a good goal behind it. Cutting her hair off is not the way to get there though. I do understand punishment fitting the crime and getting creative with it. But, it needs to be something more school related. Like, writing about why school is important to her, staying after school, and losing electronics and privileges.
