Waggler Fishing - Fishing with 1lb Main Line

@MarkWintleFishing Thirty years ago I had a chastening lesson in fishing fine during a Drennan Super League match on the Bristol Avon at Newbridge just downstream of Bath from Gary Etheridge. I thought I was fishing fine using 1.5lb Maxima and a 22 to 0.08 hook link but Gary fished even finer to win the match, and I've finally got around to trying this for myself on a local stillwater, using my Normark Microlite II, 1lb Maxima and a size 23 barbless. Given delicate handling, the gear proves surprisingly robust and up to the job when I find myself attached to a sizeable fish that I eventually land. Watch the video to find out more.
