The moment you realise the show is actually a modern lovecraftian story was an amazing "oh shit" moment.
Ответить"Him who eats time..."
ОтветитьWhen I first saw this scene and she started coughing, I thought we were about to see some 'Exorcist' type action.
ОтветитьThis realm is flat and life is Infinite yet living in this realm is not. Your soul either sits next to God in heaven or in hell both for eternity. Pray it’s not in hell. Repent to Jesus Christ with a heavy heart and accept him as your saviour. Jesus is the only door to heaven. God bless you all.
Ответить"He who eats time in robes " is a reference to Hastur,, from the Cthulhu mythos.
Ответитьdafuq she sayin
Ответить"Him...who eats Time..."
So chilling.
REJOICE CARCOSA!!!
ОтветитьThis scene gives me chills
ОтветитьImagine this old lady lives through the most scary, horrible shit ever then 40 years later some random guy shows you a drawing of that shit from carcosa lol
Ответитьthe awkward moment that True detective is more lovecraftian than lovecraft Country
ОтветитьThe granddaughter wanting money.
“What? Whaddya gonna do if I don’t pay?” 🤣
I never knew them Tuttle people but I heard stories, no thank you. She knew about the cult, the funny thing is neither of detectives paid her any attention , Marty would have wanted to have sex with her and Rust just dismissed her, because she was young and pretty she easily could have been one of the cults victims, one of the people these two men are trying to protect but they dismissed her exactly because of her youth and looks , this show depicts misogyny like no other
Ответитьlil' poys, mhmm?!
ОтветитьWhen I first saw the lady even before she was saying those things I said to myself... damn... this lady probably has seen some shit.
ОтветитьThis is like showing pictures of Vietnam dead soldiers to those seniors from the military. People who have seen some shit will remember even if they have dementia. Their scariest traumas.
Ответить"Him... who eats time... it rose... it's a wind of invisible voices. Rejoice.... death is not the end... "
whoa
Is that a down payment Marty?
ОтветитьI know the young lady is out of the loop but I bet as her caretaker she probably sees this old woman triggered from time to time and boom starts talking some mad creepy shit.
Ответить"Hired to do "Incesteral" Research" am I right? Hoho.
ОтветитьThe actress who plays Ms. Delores shows some of the finest acting I've ever seen from a side-character in a series. I remember this scene from years ago when I first saw True Detective S1 and I just had to look it up again.
Ответить‘Him who eats time, him robes, is a wind of invisible voices. Rejoice, death is not the end. Rejoice’ shit sent shivers down my spine.
ОтветитьThis scene is frightening
Ответитьi would rather see hastur (the yellow king) on the big screen
ОтветитьHoly shit wtf are those lines:
"Him Who Eats Time.
Him robes, it's a wind of invisible voices.
Rejoice, Death is not the end."
It sounds like the words to describe some kind of untouchable, incomprehensible entity beyond our logic and consciousness. It's so unsettling, I love it.
This scene creeped me out
ОтветитьAfter she had it done to her…😮
ОтветитьWhat did she say right before Shreveport?
ОтветитьWhat a scene!
ОтветитьI sure hope that old lady is wrong as well
ОтветитьThe walls are always yellow when crazy shitvgoes down
Ответить"you know cook-off"
Ответитьi like how the horror doesn't have to be cosmic for this to work. they were driven mad by carcosa, but that works just as well if there is no supernatural dimension, they were driven mad by an unfathomable evil, its just that that unfathomable evil is human nature. you can view i as someting supernatural intervening or you can view it as a commentary on the inherent capacity for unspeakable acts that resides in humans. there is something unknowable and primal and terrifying about both
ОтветитьMost important scene in the show!
ОтветитьDense Macabre
ОтветитьAfter this buildup, it being an incest hillbilly was a bit of a letdown. I was expecting crazier hillbilly buffalo bill.
ОтветитьThis was such an amazing Season! After the finale I was left wanting more of this duo! They were amazing.
ОтветитьDelores would have literally ceased to be if Rust told her how many of those stick formations he's found over the course of 10 years.
ОтветитьBeen returning to this scene after watching S4. Love the way the show hinted at all the Lovecraftian rituals, then it sort of became dismissed as bullshit that Reggie and these psychos were into while they got high, but then this scene comes back in Episode 7 and makes you wonder about all of it being real again. Incredible season of TV.
ОтветитьHaven’t seen it for years. Can someone remind me why she changes like that? What happens to her?
ОтветитьDonald Trump seems sensitive thin skinned. He needs something like all the help is lost! Billionaires can't help us.
Ответитьshe is amazon
ОтветитьAt first the conversation seemed kind of normal and straightforward...and then it went completely WTF. I was not ready for that, very creepy to hear the old lady chant with joy.
ОтветитьI love how in this season, the lovecraftian supernatural element is so subtle that it may not be there at all and just delusions of certain individuals.
Or it may be real and the true motivation behind these horiffic rituals and violence; all so that certain individuals may ascend and break/escape the chains/fortress of space-time, at whatever cost.
Brilliantly done.
How many Dollars Marty payed her?
ОтветитьWhat they did to those children
ОтветитьLovecraft, Howard, Chambers, Ashton Smith and Derlerth look at this scene and smile.
ОтветитьThe scariest line in this whole first series is uttered right here by Ms. Dolores. "Death is not the end . . ." She repeats this twice to make sure it sinks in. For Rust this just means an endless cycle of the same horror show for eternity, with a string puller who is truly invincible and beyond evil. This is why he says he hopes she is wrong about what she said once they get outside. At least in this dimension (portrayed in this show) there is some closure at the end.
ОтветитьThis actress killed this scene, she was absolutely chilling.
ОтветитьI'm obsessed with Rust drinking iced tea.
