Thanks for making the video. As a Razorlite (solo version) owner, I'd like to see further comparisons and more info about the differences.

I agree using the Razorlite as your primary kayak is probably a good idea, and says a lot about it. But I do agree, the new Cirrus Aquaglide models are significantly lighter, and that can be important too, but more to some people than others.

The Cirrus Aquaglide as you say is more delicately made, and another reviewed mentioned Aquaglide says it is about half as durable as their other kayaks. I'd also think the Razorlite is likely much more durable.

Another reviewer mentioned the Cirrus Aquaglide can flex in the middle, and I can see this happening in your video as your carrying it to the water. The Razorlite by comparison is rock solid like a hard shell kayak.I noticed on one of my other inflatable kayaks, when it flexed in the middle, it affected performance.

You mentioned your Razorlite took a little longer to inflate. I find this very surprising. The solo version of it says inflation time is 7 minutes. I'm no athlete and in my mid 50s, and I can manually inflate it in as little as 3 mins & 20 seconds! By far the fastest of an inflatable I've tried or heard of. The others I've tried take the amount of time specified. Because it is so fast, I haven't seriously considered a high pressure electric pump (expensive at $200-$250), but I have them for my low pressure kayaks. Sea Eagle has sold themselves short on their listed inflation time of the solo Razorlite as I can do it in less than half the specified time, and no doubt an athlete that is younger could do it faster than me. I believe Aquaglide said the solo Cirrus takes about 10 minutes to inflate. I'd like to see a side by side comparison video of this.

The stability of the Razorlite is comparable to that of a hard shell kayak. I don't find it tippy as an experienced kayaker and knowing how to balance is important. But it sounds like the Cirrus Aquaglide is a bit more forgiving for a beginner like a regular inflatable kayak. Usually this indicates less performance, so we'll see how future performance comparisons between them go. A video paddling against the wind would also be a good one to make. The Razorlite slices through vs my regular inflatables. The Razorlite has great secondary stability which is useful for edging.

I totally agree there is a lot to be said for a kayak that is so light weight. My solo Razorlite is 35 lbs. Carrying it from the car to the water with the included backpack is no problem for me, but if I wanted to take it hiking to a remote pond a mile or more it would be too heavy for me. The solo Cirrus Aquaglide is just 15 lbs by comparison. A lot of woman are attracted to the ORU's due to their weight, and this may be a good alternative for those seeking a very light weight kayak. I would at some point like to have a kayak in my collection (I have 7 inflatable kayaks) in this weight range, but over all it's more important to me having a kayak that is better all around, durable and for a lower price than one that is super light weight. The Razorlite appears to offer more storage space too.

Also, I dry my Razorlite after every use before packing which adds time. The Razorlite is slow to pack as it is and requires full body weight with a strap to pack. This is probably the thing I like least about it. While inflation and setup is very fast, it's not quick to leave when I'm done kayaking. I'd like to see a video of the same process of drying and packing the Cirrus Aquaglide.

Price..The solo Razorlite is $1100 with pump & paddle included. The Cirrus Aquaglide is $1300 without pump or paddle. The Razorlite has a longer warranty too.

Time to head out with my Razorlite. Great video, and looking forward to your next ones!

Hello, I have bought full dropstich kayak like Razorlite but I am not satisfied with stability- you can't get in it from deep watter at least I can't. Did you ever fell in a watter and tried to climb back in it. This Aquaglide Cirrus looks a lot better.

two completely different kayaks with one for speed and touring (Razorlite) and the other for rougher water and carrying gear. Both have their place so choose what type of water you mostly paddle. I have the Razorlite (first edition) and it's much faster on the water than my two other inflatables that are wider.
