Hey there Johnny Blue Eyes. It seems like a long time since I saw you here. You have lost weight. I hope all is well with you. Road Rage is no joke. Never engage other motorists. You never know who you are dealing with. Lives are lost needlessly.

This was a great episode of Criminal Impact. This new segment is both important and interesting.

I love the Criminal Impact show. It’s unfortunate that laws and procedures we often take for granted or are unaware of were written in blood. Thanks John!

For goodness sake.... Twinning & Davis had the luck of the devil with those shots! Those poor officers 😢 (I'm so glad such valuable, albeit expensive, lessons were learned)

R.I.P 💐

Great episode. I once took a police simulation class. In the class we participated in a segment called "to shoot or not to shoot". We watched a video and had a laser pistol strapped to our hip and could pull the weapon and shoot at the screen. I accidentally (virtually) shot a hearing impaired person as he kept approaching me, waving one had and reaching into his back pocket... to pull out his "I am deaf" card. My friend who attended the class with me, (virtually) died because she didn't pull her gun on a woman with a baby in a stroller, who turned out to have a pistol in the stroller next to her crying baby. We both still talk about that class and our feelings surrounding that experience. Police risk their lives every day just going to work. Something we forget. RIP officers, and thank you.

What a story! Those officers did the very best they could to stop what turned out to be deadly criminals, giving their own lives in the process. They had heart, courage, and determination but it wasn’t enough without proper training. THIS is the kind of information the public needs in order to understand what our officers face and why we need to increase funds to train them correctly so they can serve and protect us more safely and effectively. Thanks, John.

I'm not sure if I will continue-the clicking noises get to me. I do love the information though from this case.

You haven’t lived until you’ve had somebody fire a gun at you while driving.
That is, you haven’t lived until you’ve had a man, not in uniform, driving a civilian automobile, turn lights on and pull you over. When said man came up on the passenger side I gunned the engine and drove off.
Then three cop cars cornered me and drew GUNS. Did I forget to mention that I am a 72 year old lady and I was heading home from the grocery store! What is going on in this country?

The officers weren't outgunned. Both sides were armed similarly. The officers just made fatal mistakes against evil criminals. If the second officer, armed with the shotgun, had stayed back and kept his shotgun trained on the vehicle, the criminals could never have gotten the advantage. If the officers had waited for backup, the four of them armed with two shotguns and their service revolvers would easily have outgunned the criminals.

Great job John. I used Newhall to train officers in tactics for years. I never got over the officer putting spent cartridges in his pocket (just like he trained).

Hi John. One from the UK for you. Following the Soham murders and government enquiry, CRB checks came into force when employing anyone working with children.

This is crazy, I think we often forget police are left to make life or death judgement calls in seconds, and most often with their own life on the line. We can never understand that placement. As someone with a criminal justice degree that split second decision is why I didn’t become a cop.

Correction: Davis was the driver of the Pontiac during the traffic stop - not Twinning.
