The weather in Hohhot looked a bit rainy and chilly. Not really living up to it's hot name ... 🙃
ОтветитьI took one sleeper train directly from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar. Did not need to switch but had to get off at the Mongolian border. The issue I had was finding the office to buy the ticket from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar - which wasn't at the train station.
ОтветитьLast year, I did the similar route but in the opposite direction. It was incredibly awesome. Watching the sunset in the Mongolian plains in the Dining car while drinking some Сенгур-Beer with new friends is an experience I will never forget
ОтветитьYou have 1 new subscriber from the UK via ichongqing 😂
ОтветитьThank you China has built High Speed Train Jakarta Bandung. I hope We can build continue until Jayapura Papua. ❤
ОтветитьHindi
ОтветитьHohhot may have a similar population to L.A. proper, but the greater L.A. area has ~19 million people. It’s much more expansive than Hohhot, of course, but Hohhot seems to be a very average-sized to below average-sized city by Chinese standards, therefore it’s unknown to the West.
ОтветитьPKP will soon launch connections from Warsaw to Rijeka, Croatia via Ljubljana. It'll be a gamechanger, as for now you can only get by plane to Slovenia and Croatia from Poland. Tickets should be very cheap (about 200 PLN for a round-trip). Would you be interest in recording this route?
ОтветитьActually you can try from China to Mongolia cross the border by train but not the car! It is also a wonderful trip!
ОтветитьThe modern Chinese train lines are beautiful. I really like your videos.
Ответить欢迎再来中国!
ОтветитьExcellent Presentation 🌹 Hearty Greetings from Hyderabad, India 🇮🇳
ОтветитьThanks for this video, will take this exact route later this august (just in reverse from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing) as part of my 27 day trans Siberian trip all the way from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, back to Irkutsk and then from there to Ulaanbaatar then finally to Beijing
ОтветитьMy expectations have been so warped by Amtrak and the Avelia Liberty that every time I see a video with the CR400 I'm always taken aback at how there are so many of them just in regular service.
ОтветитьDo you need permission to travel
ОтветитьI have to go back to China! Good memories! 😍
ОтветитьThe Mongolian locomotive is made in Qazaqstan, based on General Electric Evolution.
ОтветитьHey! What Camera do you use To record?
ОтветитьYou are very familiar with CR
ОтветитьToo bad you are now restricting Friday content.
ОтветитьTruly an incredible sunset!
Ответить大変素晴らしい動画でした。私は日本人ですが、昨年大連から中国高速鉄路に乗車し、その利便性に驚きました。この動画を観て、また中国には行ってみたいと思いました!
ОтветитьI went from London to Hanoi by train and then overland to Singapore and boat to Jakarta back in 2000. Great journey, loved the Mongolia part. Somewhere around there we had to change the wheels because the train track was a different size when moving from one country to another. They just lifted the whole train up from the tracks. No internet then so everyday was an adventure. Took three months end to end. Yes I would do that again.
ОтветитьK23 is comming back soon
ОтветитьBeijingbei station is originally named Xizhimen station when it first opened in 1905. The subway opened in 1984. The railway station is renamed Beijingbei after the reconstruction. The station reopened in 2008 to welcome tourists from all over the world for the Olympics
Ответитьgood news they did a test run of k3/4 from beijing to moscow in march, with new rolling stock. rumors said this train will resume in september.
the international train from Nanning to Hanoi has just resumed 2 days ago.
This trip brings back fond memories. I rode the K3 from Beijing to Ulanbator in 2019. It was an experience money can't buy. Your video is the proof.
ОтветитьSo is there any first class cabins you can stay in on each trains
ОтветитьCan you by fake stuff in mongolia ?
ОтветитьWhat a magnificent sunset! It's the most beautiful one I've ever seen. Thank you for sharing this.
ОтветитьYou’re a great narrator. Everything you’ve shown and said were clearly stated. I enjoyed your video greatly. This is a trip that I would like to take and will consider it in the near future. Thank you.
ОтветитьExcellent clip, enjoyed watching, thank you. Good information.
Ответитьlooks like Mongolia just part of Russia
ОтветитьI used to do this trip not by the tourist train but with my Mongol wife's people. For $30, I'd catch the train to Zumuud Ud, cross the border with China in a jeep to Hohhot, and then catch the bus or train to Beijing. The trip used to take 3 days. It is the same route the Mongolian market traders use.
Ответитьyou went into the smaller waiting hall of beijing north rather than the main one i guess, and the former seemed to be opened for extra waiting space and quicker boarding 😂
ОтветитьSleeper train from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar direct is back a few days ago. Don't forget to check that out.
ОтветитьI’m from Mongolia. Thank you for travelling by mongolia. Is mongolia good country right?
ОтветитьYou've traveled in China many times. Isn't it about time you learn some proper Mandarin pronunciation? I think it would add to your credibility.
ОтветитьChina and Mongolia are restoring direct services. I believe the direct journey will take 19 hours
ОтветитьExcellent !
ОтветитьWhen first read 46 hours in the title, it sounded like a very long time. However, following through all legs of the journey, it is really not that bad. Hopefully direct train service between the two cities will resume soon.
Ответитьlast month they run a direct train between Bejing and Ulaanbaatar, due to covid, it was halted for almost 4 years if I'm not wrong
ОтветитьAs an Albertan, I have always been obsessed with my fellow cold, empty windswept but politically strategic places like Namibia, Greenland but MOST OF ALL? Mongolia. So thank you for this epic content. It's glad to see UB aka MoTown (Simpsons joke) get its flowers as it were. I can't wait to fly there myself! Ditto for Nuuk and its newly expanded runway and brand new international terminal. For the first time the city is now a direct flight from Canada, the USA or Europe away! Amazing!
ОтветитьThank you for the content. 🎉❤
