The 6.0 powerstroke is complete junk in reliability. But they make very good power. I have one with just a few mods and a tune and it beats or keeps up to basically every other truck in the area with similar or more mods. They are cheap because everyone knows the problems but you can find good ones out there.

You should put a 4BT in the ranger. This is a 4 cylinder cummins. Little bit smaller than the one in the trucks and you cand find them in old bread trucks!
