One of my all time favorite heels. He had the funniest promos ever, especially the ones where he would stuff chicken and donuts into his mouth while he was talking.

When Muraco was wrestling for Roy Shire in San Francisco, the Cow Palace shows were averaging about 10,000 people in the early to mid 1970s with occasional sell outs for Battle Royals and big angles. Roy Shire's glory years were 1960-1970 when Ray Stevens was the top draw, and they broke attendance records.

This guy was a great heel in the mid 80s. It seemed like he had a feud with just about every top babyface back then.

this is such an enjoyable listen. you're both super mellow, interesting stories. muraco calling buddy rogers the ray stevens of the earlier guys era; that type of storytelling is fading away

Don Muraco is a favorite of mine. I remember watching him & Bob Orton tag team at house shows. Back then, if you cheered for the "bad guys" people would get pretty mad, even if you were a youngster. Was good times. He is such a cool, chill dude. I am glad he is doing well.
