I've wondered for a long time how True Value has survived this long. I used to like their stores but sadly big box stores are running them out of business.

Am happy to support my local hardware store. You only want 4 flat-head screws?...... try doing that a big box store. Need customer assistance, there's that, too. It's a struggle being a small business in the age of e-commerce and giant retailers. Worth paying a tiny bit ,more.

I don't buy anything from Ace Hardware. The distribution center is less than two miles away in Springfield. But the prices are bloated. Nobody is surprised when they priced themselves out of business.

I'm wondering who's not getting paid? Manufacturers, property owners, and franchisers are getting screwed from this bankruptcy...not good.

Never even heard of "Do It Best", just had a new stand-alone True Value built a few years ago in Nor Cal.

Go ahead and thank the Harris/Biden/Obama controlled economy, ...so now true value is going out the way sears and kmart went, and all this private equity thing, they are the socialist elite leftists that do these things, ....they go to harvard and yale and berkley california to get their training, and for some reason are allowed to buy up companies and destroy them, when in fact these criminals need rounded up and jailed for embezzlement crimes, and I am sure many others.

True Value ironically is usually the highest priced place around. But, they are convenient especially in small town.

Our country needs more hardware stores, not less. And while I love Home Depot, their stores have only a pathetic inventory of fasteners. Where I used to live there was a wonderful Crown Ace hardware store that had a huge selection of practically every type of fastener. Every town needs such a hardware store to support all the guys working on their cars and motorcycles.

If True value cannot figure out why they are busted is because. Cheap Chinese products, limited corporate items offered, employees who know nothing about hardware, and over inflated prices just to start with. I stopped shopping there a long time ago. AKA poor management.

So, draining houshold budgets by $400-$800 million every DAY in just the price increase in gas alone, and sending that money to countries that chant for our demise is a BAD thing??? Who could have guessed? Boggles the mind!

I work as an independent contractor for a merchandising company that builds Ace Hardwares, 98% of all store conversions we do are True Value, and Do It Best, more then 75% of those stores look in disarray, with the plastic of half of there items completely disintegrating. From my prospective, I knew these stores didn't have long before going out of business.

I stopped shopping here during the Plandemic, when I needed a rototiller ($400.00) they had a sign on the counter that said "NO CASH". Even though I was paying with a card, I asked if this was true. They said it was, so off to Home Depot I went to use my credit card anyway. I know they are independently owned.

They become hell holes to work in, motivation disappears and becomes a fukkit - everyone thinks, 'fukkit'.

This is horrible - true value one of the last places PROUDLY selling American made goods.

It is so obvious now in hindsight, this is an attempt to short out any American made goods

They have been ripping people off for decades everything they sell is between $300 and 800% more than you could go get it at Walmart or Home Depot
