Sabaj Da3 Review (...vs Da2)

Good review. But while comparing with DA2 a comparison for use with smartphones, especially with respect to power consumption would have been welcome. I have heard DA3 consumes a lot more power than DA2 and is not recommended for use with mobiles. Can you give your opinion on this. I am scanning through different sources in the net for finalising which one to buy for use with phone.

I had a question. I purchased the Sabaj DA3 and noticed while changing the volume up or down I hear clicks in the audio. Is this something that you hear as well? I am using a Sony XBA-H3 IEM that is connected through the 3.5 output. Not sure what it could be and just wanted to know if this is something normal. Thanks!

Since 2018 is there any other better alternative with improved features and sound quality in the portable DAC/AMP department? considering the same price range. I see from your reviews that Khadas Thone Board might be surely better as a DAC but has no AMP capability, right?

Hello sir i have smsl idea / da2 im not in basshead but I've notice da2 not fuller in sound so to become live and adding thump in sound instead of buying other dac purchase dac with dedicated headphone amp? I wanna do some experiment not yet buying a fio q1 mark 2 in this dac equipment akm chip with amp and balance output combine with da2 sound better? I want to know if da2 produce better balance sound and wide sound stage by adding headphone amp not just the fio q1 but in thr other can you test it with headphone amp and comment what you've notice difference

Sabaj Da3: This DAC is in principle quite ok, BUT it is catastrophic on the DSD side: after listening to PCM and at some point you want DSD, it does NOT want to move to DSD under any circumstances and you listen to a terrible hiss in your speakers, especially if you don't have them at a very low volume it will be catastrophic!
