I am from Europe. I have the utmost respect for these soldiers or the SEALS for the experience they went through for their bravery and sacrifice. But I have no respect for them for the reasons that Major General Smedley Butler gave. The American military are not protecting America at all. Protecting America from what? Who has been threatening to invade or attack America since WW2? Not one country! The US has thousands of military bases around the world and the US is the one that has been waging wars, bombing and attacking other countries all around the world in order to maintain world hegemony. American soldiers do not protect the US but are pawns for the Military Industrial Complex creating wars in order to make profit for the elites and to maintain dominance around the world and subdue Europe, your allies, as vassals. In other words, the US is the scum of the Earth just like Israel is the scum of the Earth. Both countries think they are the most exceptional race on Earth. Edward Buyers, so typical of the vast majority of ignorant Americans who have been brainwashed to believe that America is a beacon of hope to the rest of the world. The opposite is true because most countries around the world dislike the US immensely because of her authoritarian control on other countries that do not conform to being slaves to US imperilialism. The US destroyed the gas pipelines of Germany, a NATO ally, which is an act of war against a German ally! The US wants Germany to buy her more expensive gas than to get them from Russia through its pipelines. In conclusion, the US is run by banks, multi national corporations, Big Pharma, the Military Industrial Complex and its presidents are nothing more than puppets to sell to the American public the lie that you have a democracy and light to the world when in fact America is threat to other nations.

I hope this doesn't sound harsh but maybe these "relief organizations" like "doctors without borders" should have enough sense, know enough of the religion or ideology of the territory they get themselves into, have some discernment, have read the Quran, Hadith and Shariah and recognize that any white guy that goes in there will in all likelihood either be killed or held for ransom! Why should others have to risk their lives in trying to rescue them. It reminds me of that Canadian gal who thought she could make a name for herself as a Journalist and entered Somalia about 20 years ago, only to be captured, raped and then held for ransom. (Eventually SF had to get her out)
What's tragic for me is to see the U.S. Military sacrifice lives to rescue people who are reckless in their decisions!

Biggest mistake made was firing that first shot the Taliban didn’t even see them. This happened to us on July 11th 2012 in Afghanistan inside the 75th regiment. But when this happened to us. We all layed down and the Taliban went back inside. Not a single shot was fired that night from us and we still got our principal he was an MP from the army

In the EOD training in 1971 our class started with 48 & graduated 22. The Navy taught the surface school & it was very intense training. Surprised this 19 year old kid made it through.

Every American should be required to watch this video & listen to the words of what OUR freedom's costs truly are. Those men, women, & k9s willing to defend the freedoms of our way of life every day, night, 24/7, & 365 days.
