the first record is ideal for sleeping, literally nothing is going on, so boring
ОтветитьI spent £50 on a factory sealed CD of second sun in 2008. Wish I’d bought the vinyl now.
ОтветитьCan't help but be a little bit disappointed that "Mr Majestic" didnt make the cut 😅
Ответитьwe all know, that under the tape it is the Pioneer logo
ОтветитьI'd love to just hang with this man for an evening, he has such a warm and thoughtful presence. Words cannot express how much Calibres music means to me and someday I'd love to shake his hand and tell him.
ОтветитьLovely man, and lovely tunes 👍🏻
ОтветитьWhat a treat. Loving that first tune🇮🇪
ОтветитьHugely talent man is Cabre, listen to one of his tunes at least once a day. Could listen to him being interviewed every day, knowledgeable, humble and engaging.
ОтветитьOne of the best ever. Thank you Calibre.
ОтветитьYes.
ОтветитьU.R Transition, Classic.
ОтветитьWhenever I see or hear him I am always amazed at how this simple looking Irish man had dnb in a head lock one-time 😅
Ответитьwith calibre 5 tracks is just too short. he should've done 10!
ОтветитьReally nice and diverse selection! Added couple to my want list. :)
ОтветитьSo inspiring, those early Jamaican 45s are such a backbone for DnB for me. Roots. Playing Calibre lately makes me notice his genius use of rhythm and texture. Thank you for sharing some of his inner world with us.
ОтветитьAmazing video from a living legend of the scene. Hats off
ОтветитьU R 🖤
ОтветитьNot a DnB fan at all but you can tell this guy knows and loves music, great stuff
Ответитьsomeone who picks the fall knows his stuff
ОтветитьFantastic Life is easily my favorite Fall track. So cool he pulled that one.
ОтветитьAmazing. Thx for this.
ОтветитьDominick is the man!!
ОтветитьCalibre is one of most influential artists in drum and bass music for me. I really like his selection but as producer, dj and his fan I expected he will pick at least one drum and bass track 😞
ОтветитьSo nice to have something different than electronic club music for once, hope there are more Bsides lined up
ОтветитьYep.
ОтветитьThat he mentioned UR ❤
ОтветитьTransition ❤ amazing man, thank you
Ответитьimagine you are Klaus, and you stumble across this video.
Also, nice seeking the paintings in the background for his LP covers :)
Great selection, keen to get copies of 2,3,4. Big up Calibre
ОтветитьThat Jackie Mittoo 45 on early Jammy’s is a wicked dub.
ОтветитьThat Klaus "Gus" track gives me the shivers everytime i listen to it since it came out 🤌~ wish i knew more about the guy too!
💖
Can‘t believe i‘ve got that first record, also at Hard Wax, years ago.
Ответитьbrilliant selection
ОтветитьThe calibre 👏👏🏿👏👏🏿
ОтветитьI first stumbled across Calibre back in 1999 believe when listening to Fabio on radio 1, calibre was a breath of fresh air during the heavier and darker times within dnb.
Musique concrete for me is a masterpiece and I've listened to Dominic's music ever since.
A true treasure in our beloved scene.
Amazing.
ОтветитьHis artistry is fantastic and a proper music man. As we can know
ОтветитьThe guy on the reggae record sounded a bit like Horis Andy, who does vocals for Massive Attack
ОтветитьCalibre is all class.
ОтветитьWhen you see a guy like Calibre, you know his selection is going to be totally off the charts. As a DnB producer, he's completely fulfilled, unparalleled. The selection is amazing, and the entire B-side series is invaluable. Shoutout to everyone who collects vinyl records; for me, it's the only medium with something truly special about it. Big up, Calibre !
ОтветитьWhat a lovely bloke ❤
ОтветитьWhat a bloody legend.
ОтветитьThat UR track is pure gold. I recall the first time hearing it circa 2004 and can’t remember where I got my hands on it but it’s one that will cease to leave my collection.
Ответитьye out to klaus
Ответитьa
ОтветитьThanks, Man!
ОтветитьTr4nsition is probably a tOp 100 all time dance music track 😊
ОтветитьGod he’s just such a legend isn’t he, one of the real ones 🐐
ОтветитьAn icon of the scene for so long, Soul:ution Manchester I’ll never forget, been collecting his genius since “Mystic / Feelin” about 25 years ago. What a privilege to hear Dom’s personal selections. I only own that UR 12”, sorry man, while Transition is great, the A side “Inspiration” is the one. It sounds like that weird alien band from Star Wars jamming with Mad Mike thousands of years in the future! 😂
