ОтветитьI left school more than 10year and looking for phd
Ответитьworthwhile, though bit panicking in front of audience when talking
ОтветитьPreparing to start my PhD in Nanoscience,Computational Chemistry at JSNN in 2025, wish me luck 🫶🏼
ОтветитьI wish I had heard about the Research Diary at the beginning of my PhD, and not a month before submitting...
ОтветитьI believe in this modern era taking PhD must be a happy journey while growing in knowledge and developing skills in research.
ОтветитьWhat about them stop ganging to steal PHD's project of others ?
ОтветитьIf you're considering quitting your PhD because of the writing work involved, please don't. I am helping students with that for free.
ОтветитьHeartwarming, encouraging and realistic advice. Thank you for your presentation. I like the idea of the research journal!
ОтветитьExcellent advice Laura - I especially commend keeping a research journal/diary which is reflective, honest and maintains a daily record of research, findings, ideas and occurrences. While most PhD students are honestly striving along with other departmental colleagues it is prudent to be aware of others - students, contract staff and academics who are primed "gamers" of academic life within the department or further afield whose agendas are geared towards personal advancement rather than towards the advancement of research group programmes, departmental or real scientific advances by consistent methods which maintain scientific integrity - they "game" others within the institution, the conference scene, journal publishing and editing and major funders - "it takes one to know one" - unfortunately many are very successful because of possible mutual financial benefits and so scientific integrity, together with "value for money", go out of the window. In fact, there are very few career academic researchers around who have made any profound discoveries - honest ones are not to be found at the higher pay grades - they are not generally "deal makers".

Ответитьmy supervisor sucks she makes me do work of my male colleague that shes dating.. yes btch i know
ОтветитьYikes. I only have my BS and minor and THAT was even a battle… Good luck to everyone on that academic journey
ОтветитьReal peace is in chaos 😅
ОтветитьIsn't that thinking is a natural process? Does one have to be told to think especially in the graduate program?
ОтветитьIn this day and age, do we still need academics to tell us what to do? Can't we just research and pursue our interests by ourselves?
ОтветитьFor me Swimming and football really helped to keep my energy, focus and motivation high during my PhD.
ОтветитьI forgot what I did, this hit me hard as it happened to me 🤣
ОтветитьI'm watching this video right after having a mental breakdown, where i was crying and thinking of quitting everything. It's so hard to see yourself how you are becoming, where you feel most of the time stressed, under pressure, and also thinking that you don't have a life, and you only wish is to be like normal people. But, thank God, i have came to see this video, also after reading the comments, i have found that I am not the only one who is going through this difficulties , and it's a journey that someday will take end. Good luck for everyone in this journey.
ОтветитьA hundred thousand words 🤣🤣🤣 nobody writes a hundred thousand word thesis.
ОтветитьNow I have been told…. Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat talk…. Finishing my masters and will apply for a Ph.D. so this is a great talk for me.
ОтветитьVery useful video!
ОтветитьThis video has arranged my understanding of a PhD process. And I love it most!
