It'd be more efficient to have an exhaust valve as well:
The air that is left in the cylinder after the intake charge can escape freely instead of being compressed.

It might also help your efficiency if you lowered the intake valve duration. When your exhaust ports are exposed, the air is > 14.7psi (atmospheric) so there is lost energy every stroke. If you close the valve earlier, the air in the cylinder will increase volume therefore decrease pressure closer to atmospheric pressure by the time the exhaust ports open. This will decrease power but benefit efficiency.

I'm almost done.

You can probably change the ball valve for a poppet valve pretty easily.

I like the idea but the amount of compression required for high torque vehicles would make it basically a massive bomb. Even for lower psi (under the assumption you go for gear ratio to apply equivalent torque underload) it would still require a significant amount of force
