I've noticed DoorDash Penalizes you for declining too many orders. They'll force you to "Schedule" your dashing hours in advance and do not let u dash when u need/want to.

I just started and let me tell all beginners! I wish I had known this! New dashers can't use fast pay until you've completed 25 orders and been dashing for 2 weeks! I was so mad. But like dashing. I can make pretty good money

I actually found people were so appreciative and grateful when I would reach out to them! Sometimes, extra money given but if not, they definitely vocalized and showed their appreciation, which is always nice 😊

So all you need is an electric car and only take $10+ orders. I dashed last night for 7 hours and if I went by his rules I would have had one job. I think the area makes all the difference working this job. I would challenge this person to come to the East Coast places like central North Carolina and show me how to make $1900 a week. Oh and btw I don't have $60,000 for an electric car. Come on man....

I remember in pandemic all this old people asking how to apply, now all the comments are " experts " 😂 please you all just made this gig economy suck.

In CA we have all this dinosaurs ( old people ) accepting all crap. So the market this days is dead. Customers noticed their orders get delivered no matter what. After pandemic we got all this dinosaurs and teenagers screwing the gig economy. This days you basically earn minimum wage after expenses.

My customer Rate is-->4.9

I still get $3-9 tips even with my Platinum if you declined to many & your accept Rate gets under 70% & Your completion rate gets under %95 you'll lose ur platinum. depending on the day sometimes I'll get consistent decent $7-12 tips at best threw out the day. And you can Dash 24/7 with Platinum unlike Gold or Silver. And i haven't purchased the Giant bag for platinum yet supposedly you'll get even bigger tips so they say

I want to say this is MARKET DEPENDANT HIS ADVICE. In lower income areas like Tampa, Florida you ARE PUNISHED if you’re not a higher acceptance rate dasher because you almost get NO high paying orders because there’s so many dashers and there are a lot of lower paying offers and people that tip less!!

You can't even find $2 per mile these days for orders. Rideshare and delivery jobs have turned to shit and too saturated. These companies have taken advantage of workers as a result. absolute shit.

here in my city, its kinda just all "Nation chain" fast food (i.e mcdonalds,burger king) with people just buying 1 meal. so a typical dasher pay out is like no more than $8/per order. We do get high pay order (+$10 is consider high for me) from a local spot but you will be waiting for a while to get more than 2 for them haha. It's quite a hustle even now more than ever since more ppl are signing up as dashers. Years ago i use to be one of the few main dashers in my area and i could work anytime. smaller cities we are often competing with eachother now lol.

Still an amazing side hustle tho.

I won't accept any order that has a mileage higher than the dollar amount. I shoot for the mileage being AT LEAST half the dollar amount.

The frustrating thing is that I rarely if ever get offered orders over $9 and never have seen more than $2/mi

Some areas are bad you won't be able to dash anytime if your acceptance rate is not 70 percent. This is why I uber eats
