What stood out to me was the story of the chopped off ear. I think that story has a double meaning. I think the other meaning was to show us that the fight is not a fight of flesh and blood but it is spiritual. The Disciples understood the teachings of Christ but was carrying a sword. It sort of contradicts Christ teachings. Was that a sign of a lack of faith amongst the Disciples?

I like your website. Yours is one of the first that I've seen that has some insight into what is in the Bible and you have shown that you study (which most Christians don't do - they believe whatever comes over the pulpit or what someone tells them) and dig using the internet and commentaries and prayer. I don't use a lot of commentaries. Matthew Henry, Francis(I think that's his first name) Dake) I use stictly the Authorized King James version. In it you will find scripture laid out in the form of a Cross thoughout the Bible, you will find the seal of the Bride. Song of Solomon 8:6 mentions set me as a Seal in thine heart as Seal in thine arm. That's the Seal of the Bride of Jesus Christ. What is that Seal? Hmmmm How do you find it? Hmmmmm How do you get it written on your heart and in your arm? Hmmmm. LOL Sorry. All of what I know is the result of a wonderful, Blessed servant of the Lord Jesus Christ named Rev B.R. Hicks; The Lord Himself, study and prayer. I'm going to check you out more thoroughly before I decide whether to subscribe or not. But I like the things you bring out. They are excellent. that's the true meaning of the "SALT OF THE EARTH"

Salt of the earth means: Matthew 5:13-20 describes the role of Jesus' disciples and followers serve on the earth. They are the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
