It's a shame that there is no season 14 or 15.
ОтветитьI'll never move on from that Jason into Boba Fett clip.
ОтветитьMan, I am soooo bummed to hear that Joel offered that "olive branch" to the rest of the original creators for the reboot, and they turned it down.
ОтветитьI wish they had brought up the weird attempt by Mallon to do a cartoon about the bots.
ОтветитьSaw the movie when it was released in Denver. Full theater. More people might have watched it, if it had been advertised more. I've seen everything but a few of the Gizmoplex exclusives
ОтветитьWatching the 1st Turkey Day marathon apparently resulted in coitus interruptus for one of my roommates. Him and his girlfriend were going it at hot and heavy when I started laughing, not aware that I was using headphones to watch the show in our living room. My brother came out of his room, laughing his off about it.
I got to meet the cast at their 1st big con appearance, in Denver. I still have the dollar bill Trace gave out to all of us who got in line to ask a question. He said "Say something nice." I got booed for asking for a Gamerathon. About 20 years later, I saw them live again, and brought another dollar. Joel said "You know that's defacing currency, right?" I replied "Well, I still have the one you signed in Denver, and I want to add it to the collection."
$250 an episode to $35k an episode? Do it for $7k and bank the rest of the money.
ОтветитьI think the latest campaign died because the cast and some of the voices in the newer seasons is not good. Crow sounds phoned in. The host segments are bleh. If they brought the Riff Trax crew and Trace, Frank, you would see the donations burst through the roof
ОтветитьToy Galaxy is "Like this Show" 📺
ОтветитьMaking cheesy movies a plus was the genius move of MST3K.
ОтветитьWOOOOOW 😮
ОтветитьAlso, don't group Joel and Mike in with Jonah and Emily or whatever their names are lol
ОтветитьI hate what they did to Crow in the new versions 😮💨🤷♂️
ОтветитьThe only original MST3K episodes I have not seen were the Godzilla ones since Toho are jerks and will not allow them to be shown anywhere.
ОтветитьMOVIE SIGN!!!!
ОтветитьThanks for this! As a teenager in Minnesota, I remember stumbling across MST3K one night when it was still a locally produced show on KTMA 23. I was immediately hooked.
ОтветитьMy intro to MST2K was Cave Dwellers, shown during my senior year Chem II class (1998). Best episode ever!
ОтветитьOh, MST3K disintegrated into market research & limited demographic appeal. Yes, the corpse was resuscitated, a cash cow to milk. Gotta pay da bills. There's NO comparison between the classic eps (KTMA/Comedy Central) which was/is a lifesaver still. . . SciFi MST3K aka Rifftrax.1 . . . & yeah, yer worthless to the reboot if ya don't buy merchandise.
Ответитьin the 90s MST3K was must see TV. I feel like it was always on and whether i was at home or at my friend's house, we were watching it. something about getting baked and flipping between mst3k, space ghost coast to coast, red green show, and mash was just part of 'that life' and man do i miss those days
ОтветитьI loved MST3K and backed the kickstarter; saw them live and i think that live show of MST3K with Joel is when i realized how much i loved Rifftrax better and just have to hard pass on it. Not to say it was Joel's fault... he just wasn't into it and meh- it wasn't fun
ОтветитьJust watched red zone cuba...it's not often you see a curly in the wild...
ОтветитьTrust me. I want there to be more brand new MST 3K episodes, but I’m not strong nor even successful enough to simply do it on my own😐
ОтветитьMystery Science Theater 3000 is The Show That Wouldn’t Die and Days Of Our Lives is The Show That Should’ve Died Long Ago🙄
ОтветитьChief?
ОтветитьI loved MST3K. Their Turkey Day marathons was what I wanted to watch each year, but had to take shifts with my brother’s choice of The Twilight Zone.
Their humor definitely helped shape my own and knack, to the detriment of everyone around me, to make jokes while watching movies.
Loved it.
I will say that I probably have seen 30(ish)% of the show. I want to say more, but it also perhaps was the same episodes over and over.
Best show ever. It has seen me through tough times and great times. Thank you for this
Ответитьnever understood why this show was ever popular but to each his own
ОтветитьCan you help me figure out what a toy was called? I used to have a bunch of these robot figures, 3-5" i think, and you could swap their body parts around with other figures. Any ideas?
ОтветитьWhen can we expect the "You made fun of me, now I'm dead." shirts in the Secret Galaxy shop?
Ответить3 funko pops
ОтветитьAt least we have RiffTrax. With the talents of former Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K) cast members and writers, RiffTrax also produces several live shows each year which are broadcast to movie theaters
ОтветитьDan Larsen > Daniel Larson
ОтветитьI got introduced to MST3K back in 89'-90' when my boss at the time would record them and show them in the staff room during lunch. I was hooked by the entire Gamera series they did.
ОтветитьIn a not too distant future (CONTINUE THE CHAIN
ОтветитьSoooo much of my life makes soooo much more sense when it comes to who and what owns who and theirs....
ОтветитьI do disagree about the last comment. There are some movies they critique, too. 😅 But that's ok. It's all in good fun.
ОтветитьIs it Stein(like a mug of beer), or does it rhyme with clean?
I've heard both but thought I heard Joel introduce him as Elvis J. Weinstein(rhymes with Spine).
HELP END THIS MADNESS :)
The lackluster 'Robot Roll
Call' from Seasons 11, 12 and 13? Were Lazy and almost a kick in the Groin, for classic fans. BUT and it's a BIG BUT...
They may have figured it was already perfectly done, TWICE. So why try to top it? One final statement, on the opening. I have never, in 10 seasons, skipped the intro but after a few times, the season 11 & 12
intro was often skipped on Netflix and the segue, from the Cold open, to the title sequence, made Jonah look ridiculous!!!!
(& I know they tried to explain it by saying, Kings forced him to reenact the intro, EVERY TIME but that was IMHO just a band-air solution, for an oversight on their part!!
Otherwise, I actually did enjoy most of the Netflix Run.
Not as good as 5 to 10 but I have 'Rifftrax' and over 200 episodes for the best of the best :)
The movie was actually what I saw first
ОтветитьThe movie was actually what I saw first
ОтветитьI first became aware of this show when it came to Sci-Fi, and loved it. I watched it every day it came on, so at least I can say I did my part.
Ответить"Kids, ask your Great-grandparents." - There, fixed it for you XD
ОтветитьIt died in 2023 when fans rejected funding a new season.
ОтветитьThe show that asked the serious questions, such as "I wonder if there's beer on the sun?"
ОтветитьI loved MST3K, although their riffs on Sci Fi movies were great, my favorites were always their lambasting of those corny 1950s educational shorts. Those were comedy gold.
ОтветитьI remember the first time I saw it in the early ‘90s. Had no idea what I was watching. This black and white rocket ship taking off loudly and slow and the commentators said “take it out of first”
Man my friend and I laughed and just kept watching. Fans for life!
