Is there a way to have powerpoint not resize the excel object? I ran intot his issue right before a month end presentation. I had to copy my charts in as images instead.

Fantastic video again Leila. I often use paste special > Excel workbook link. Is it possible to create a shortcut for that? Cuz I've to do this for 50 objects at a time. Please do suggest without macro approach and with macro approach.

Another issue I face is that after pasting 50 such objects and when I update link, sometimes ppt updates from a cache/ temporary file instead of the Excel m working on.

Hi I have monthly presentation packs. The tables and waterfall charts come from excel and thanks to your video here I have made them update dynamically. I also have for each waterfall commentary in power point inside text boxes. These commentary has numbers that I manually type by referring to excel cells- example price variance is ($20/MWh). Is there way to dynamically y get 20 in the above example from excel so that if it is 30 next month the power point will reflect that. Inserting excel object does not jell with power point commentary and misaligned. Similar to mail merge technique where you can get the info from excel using {{ }}?

Hello! The video is useful, but it needs some extra information. For example, I am trying to copy a chart from Excel to PowerPoint. I am doing this via the paste-link option. Unfortunately, when I refresh the link, the chart in PowerPoint changes its size, and therefore it is very frustrating when you have 20 charts in a presentation and you have to resize all of them

Hi Leila, Thank you for these great tips! Do you know if there's a way to do a Mail Merge with Excel and Power Point? I would like to insert fields in a Master Slide so that the individual slides in the main presentation fill with information linked to each record in Excel. Is this possible?
