I’m sort of surprised you are allowed to make this video and you’re not arrested by the kgb for showing how expensive everything is and the joke that everything goes to Moscow.

Western countries have almost as much poverty. I hope you realize that Eli lol
We have insanely high cost of living. Ends up being the same, living paycheck to paycheck. In fact Russia has a far higher private home ownership rate.

I used to travel to Moscow about once every two/three months between 1998 and 2004. So many good people and a country with so much potential. I hope things can improve for all Russian citizens.

Spent 30 days, in four places in Russia, as a ag consultant. Was in 1990! Everyone contact was super friendly and professional. The wall had ‘fallen’ six months earlier. Much respect for everyone we met.

Thanks for the great aerial videography. It was an interesting look at the cost of living. As a New Yorker, I'm shocked by how little people make and spend in Moscow.

Everyone's poor, depending on what you consider poor. In Spain, apparently, if you make more than 31K euros you're considered "wealthy", according to a moronic left-leaning newspaper. Their rationale is that being part of the top 20% of earners makes you wealthy, being part of the bottom 20% of earners makes you poor. It's moronic for 2 reasons: the first being that then according to them Spain has a FIXED 20% poverty rate, no matter what you do there will always be 20% of poor people and second your purchasing power is not considered in that measurement. In other words, it doesn't matter if you can afford food and housing, you might still considered rich. I make a little over 4 times that, and I live comfortably, but I wouldn't consider myself "rich". I know I'm not poor, but unless I make 20% or 30% more than what I make now, I wouldn't consider myself rich. I have a healthy group of friends and family members, so I'm rich in connections I guess.

In Uganda, if you make 1200 euros per year you'd be considered wealthy, according to them, I make 100 times that and I'm sure if I go there I wouldn't be seen as Jeff Bezos (I work for him btw).

It's time to bury the hatchet with our Russian brothers. We as Americans have a lot in common with the Russian folks. Our politicians ( on both sides) have been selling us a bill of goods which are, in fact, lies!! Let's shake hands and enjoy our Christian heritages together!

The MISS-Conception that Poverty spins around how much money one person earns, saves or spends is completely wrong in my personal opinion.
Poverty should be defined as the level of freedom, regulatory laws and policies one person has, enjoys or suffers from, which in turn is what makes you happy as a free soul.
That's to say, the freedom one has to grow his food, to build his home, to interact with other members of the community, to fish, to move around, to be free from paying monetary taxes, fines, etc.

For almost 45 years, since i remember myself, we were told in Greece by the Western propaganda that USSR is poor and after USSR, Russia is poor and all that rubbish.
Russia is not poor, nor was USSR.

If you want to see real poverty then go to almost town in England now - shops boarded up, violence and drugs everywhere, no cohesion or interest in society, ignorance, dirt, high rents, corruption you cannot imagine (but often quasi-legalised or hidden by the legal profession etc. so nothing gets done about it), political controls on the anyway unaffordable courts and police and a state swayed media, AND unvetted people flowing in daily, together with the splitting up of families and normal values. It's like Russia was in the hard times of the 90s - well connected people can get by of course and stand aloof in small villages, though this won't last forever.
The difference is perhaps the insecurity in the UK with crime rampant and on the rise, whereas it was/is far better controlled in Russia, with a view to things getting steadily better.
Even the British government themselves have said they want to turn the UK into a 'service economy' - whatever that is - it's total nonsense - an entire population cannot work to provide financial services - and our manufacture base has been played down to very little whilst we have few natural resources left - Russia has vast resources and is encouraging growth in every sector, together with VETTED immigration of people with skills and resources.
It was very kind of the EU to impose so many sanctions - it has spurred innovation in Russia - which was arguably the only part missing from the post Soviet economy: I think Russia has a very bright future, though it will take another 10-20 years to realise it. Best wishes and thanks for your videos and smiles :)
