Protestors in New York City are gathering to denounce the arrest and planned deportation of a Palestine protestor and activist at Columbia University in Manhattan, New York. The student is Mahmoud Khalil, a well-known Palestinian activist who led Columbia University's student protest movement demanding a ceasefire in Gaza between Hamas and Israel. The Trump administration and Marco Rubio have promised to deport the student for his conduct, which has raised first amendment issues.
