Why do they have to make all those writing around it? I think the Casio digital watches are spectacular, except that they're shit because of all the text around the screen. I'd much rather go for a minimalist no bullshit digital watch.

Never understood why the display on casio LCD watches are so small. With the size of the face there's an awful lot of blank space that could be filled with a larger display like Timex LCD watches.

We recently found and revived my dad's old A163. It's now 30 years old and was worn for many years by my father and after that by my mother, until she got her first phone. Does it have scratches? Yes. Does the 12h/24h button feel like it doesn't want to do it's job anymore, but still does it? Yes. Could I just get a F105 till I buy a G-Shock? Yes. Do any other watches have this emotional worth to me? No. I will buy a G-Shick Square soon, but till then I will wear this one, and maybe even after that on some days.

B640 starts losing the paint on the casing after a short time of wear. After 2 years of wearing it a couple of days a week the color is completely gone.

Casio site lists A700 as having crystal of Mineral Glass. No need to guess, I guess.

I have a bunch of Casios - the a700 is my favorite: very slim, legible from any angle, great backlight and can wear with anything, the a158 is also awesome but backlight nonexistent, the a168 is great too but it is chunky

I've had two different A700's and I loved them, but they both broke exactly the same way. I fell, landed on my hand and the part of the plastic casing where the wristband connects snapped from the tension on the wrist band. I'm thinking about buying an A158 because it looks a bit less fragile in that area, but I might just buy one of the metal casing ones just to make sure this doesn't happen again. Is the A1000 the only digital Casio with a metal case?

Love the A168 and had one for years. It was on my wrist during travels, when I proposed to my now wife, when our son was born, and a week ago I gave it to my son for his 8th birthday. He was so happy and it made me very proud to hand him this watch.

Just make sure the watch you buy has a lithium battery. I have never seen a lithium battery leak. Google and read the curse of quartz.

Could you maybe cover the Casio Hotbiz? It's a very obscure Casio, made in Japan, had a whole address book and everything but there's literally zero information about it.

i wear a B640W since 2019 as my everyday watch, it have endured seawater inmersions, scratches, bike accidents, and still works like new, not even a battery change.
