With miles of empty golden beaches, beautiful turquoise waters, pounding seas and rugged cliffs the Isle of Harris & Lewis is like nowhere else in Scotland, or the rest of the UK for that matter. The Outer Hebrides offer an amazing diversity of scenery, with truly remote and wild landscapes, making it a photographer’s paradise. The Isle of Harris is so rugged it even stood in for planet Jupiter in the iconic sci-fi film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
For our photographic odyssey we’ll be based in the charming Harris Hotel in Tarbert, which has easy access to the amazing beaches of Harris including one of the world’s best – Luskentyre. It’s also close by to the winding Golden Road, which twists and weaves through endless fjord-like inlets and abandoned crofts. Oh and the food in the hotel is exceptional !!
This truly is one of the most remarkable places I have ever been and I can’t wait to show you many of the hidden gems I’ve discovered along the way. With it’s fast moving weather systems offering the most incredible light, we’ll learn to adapt to all types of weather and get the best out of it.
