Where is the download for the expansion packs?

I just ordered an MPC One Plus and it’s on its way to me. I noticed that during this video it looks like you need to install iLok as part of the installation. It looks like if that’s the case I will be returning this product. F..k iLok I promised myself that I would never ever allow that intrusive and insidious rubbish on my computer ever again. I wish that they would explain this on their website BEFORE you buy their products.

The option get synth content doesnt appears on list

Horrible first time user experience. I just got the MPC keys 37 and wanted to get stem separation working. An hour later, still not any closer. What is going on here? I'm starting to think I would just be better off with a laptop and Serato.

The botton for Ilok Manager does not appear when installing. My software version does'nt have the synths I have in standalone. Why is it so complicated? Where can I get help?

The option

It's telling me I need an activation code. What do I do?

Where do I download the drivers from? The MPC 2 version I just downloaded for my MPC ONE doesn't show the option to pick the MPC ONE as shown in the video and it doesn't have the option to install the drivers, it just goes directly to the installation process. Since I have no option to install the drivers the software on my mac is complaining about them.

The new way is to install In Music app and install the driver for your MPC model. Took a min to find out but now works!

Just got the MPC 37 yesterday. I spent over 8 hours setting up, Looking for Ilok, making in music account, downloading this, restarting that, installing this. So confusing, the worst first impression yet and I still haven't played a single note and no where close to knowing what I installed where it is, how many new accounts I have and if I am even finished with the process and am I ready to start using the damn keyboard.

I think this video is out of date too, and only a year old. Im already turned off and far from inspired to dive down this rabbit hole

I was a musician now I’m a computer tech lol I got all mine working but it’s took getting tired of it one day and quitting till I felt mentally able to go through all these steps it works great though after weeks of computer science 😂

No wonder people get the cracked versions of the computer software instead of dealing with this crap from Akai.

Wow, what a mess, Akai doesn't get it. How many accounts and activations do people have to make to use this. What is this ilock crap, it's the reason I went away from Akai. I just wanted to set up a used Mpc Live with the latest software and work immediately. I saw the Akai process and went with a used Roland MC-707, plugged it in downloaded the update with no account needed and was working minutes later.

Ive worked with computers and ran a studio for over 20year and this is one of the worst setups ive done and i still cant resolve the missing synth manager bullshit on windows. Also cant pair it with Ableton. What a waste of your customers time. at least i have 30 days to return the Mpc LIVE. gonna give it another day or so then its going back. ABSOLUTE JOKE.

Guys, no mercy for this shit. I am computer programmer but even for me this is enormously upsetting shit. I have thoroughly followed all your instructions, but my Akai does not see connection with my MAC.

Horrible!... half of the functions don't work! some of the symbols in the program are missing! I did everything according to the video - the program was activated for 7 days...

it works with mpc beats, for some reason the mpc 2.15 wouldn't start up on my pc. i didn't even need to register the product in ilok for it to work........i'm really confused about this 😅😅

Well there is always Logic, beat making has evolved. The MPC so far is very complexed, redundant and not very user friendly.

Ridiculous system. Feels like they don't even want you to use it? I don't understand why they would ever make it so complicated, and clearly don't listen to customer feedback

I have a new MacBook Air 2024 and I’m not seeing how to download the driver for my MPC LIVE. I haven’t been able to find the driver installer program that allows me to choose the MPC LIVE for install. I have MPC2 on my MacBook but when I connect the MPC LIVE it keeps telling me the driver isn’t installed. Feel like the answer is right under my nose but I could use a little help.

How do I get the activation code

It’s unacceptable how you won’t just make the MPC Touch compatible with the newer Mac OS softwares it’s just updating the driver to make the touchscreen work again DO BETTER AKAI !!

After reading the comments here I was absolutely terrified to attempt this and yes it does seem an incredibly complex way of doing something relatively straightforward, but somehow I managed to do it😊

Akai is such a headache. I got my MPC professional 11 years ago and there were so many issues with either the serial number, or using the MPC application and I contacted them for help and they never got back to me and I was never able to use it until today and there were still issues with the MPC application and not having any samples in it so I can’t even use it still. After 11 years!!!!!

Had the Live 2 since release. Never used controller mode. Just got Stems, it will not connect to controller mode. It says the drivers are out of date. What? I’m on version 2.14 on both the software and on my Live… Where tf are the driver downloads??! I can’t even use Stems.

what are the guidelines for installing the driver in regards to having the hardware connected? Normally manufacturers are very clear that the device needs to be disconnected and connected at a specific timing of the steps??

WHAT A COMPLETE BALL ACHE OF A PROCESS!

Ok, I have been trying to figure this out since January. I have an MPC X SE and I followed these steps all the way up until it says SYNTH MANAGER. Synth Manager does not exist on my 2.14 software, nor on the previous version. PLEASE HELP. I just want to make music.

I've been working in VFX for 30 years and I've never seen anything like this. I've had to use some really complex activations, but this man...wow. This needs to change. I had to keep jumping online to figure stuff out and it kept taking me to people who are just hacking the software to get around all this. This video is out of date. If people are hacking your stuff, not because they want free stuff, just to activate what they bought, you gotta change something. I can see at some point you just kept adding more and more and that's great, but you have to step back a re-assess how people can pay and access. Sell me a plugin that will activate instantly without constantly accessing my account. I'll buy it! Cut it out with the registering. I think I signed up to about 4 things today. So angry and slightly regretting my purchase.
