Wow, it's just a movie. Get over it.

It would be nifty if the Vigilant's hyperdrive was a sort of swarm-hyperdrive, to explain why it's so small. It would require another ship's hyperdrive to tag along with, or maybe a minimum number of wingship hyperdrives to get the necessary anti-mass or whatever.

Royal guards already had their own TIEs and those looked closer to red TIE interceptors

This reminds me of the lore for the Lothal TIEs and how their differences from film TIEs is chalked up to local factory variations that aren’t shared between them like the base model, kinda like how during WWII ford and willys both made jeeps, but they had minor differences in engineering

Hope one day you will bring a Star Wars Empire at War mod for all of these ships, it would be absolutely amazing to see these vessels where we can use them

Can you make a F-35/Z-95 hybrid called the F-96 Silver knight. I got a bit of my own lore on this fighter. The F-96 a unique class of stealth starfighters made by Incom as a direct contender to the TIE Defender project boasted superior maneuverability to Incom's T-75 X-Wing utilizing the frame of the Clone Wars era Z-95 Headhunter the F-96 was a radical change in Starfighter design with its stealth coating it could stay undetected by enemy fighters its wings were swept backwards in order to give the F-96 better maneuverability in combat both in space and in atmosphere than the majority of already existing fighters. The F-96 was powered by two Mark 28 Hallcon turbo light engines pushing the craft at 2,800 Mega lights per hour in space and Mach 5 in Atmosphere. Armament wise the F-96 has two G27 laser cannon mounted in each wing and 20 missiles in an internal weapons rack. Like the X-Win the F-95 never entered service with the Empire instead it found its way to the Rebels 397th, 701st and 189th Fighter squadrons codenamed Rancor, Jolly roger and Eagle Squadrons respectfully together these three squadrons made up the 332nd Fighter Wing assigned to Rebel Home Fleet the 332nd grew a reputation amongst both Rebels and the Empire as an elite unit with the rebels calling them "the battling Snips" (a reference to the 332nd Company) and the Empire called them "The Silver Demons" a nod to the F-96's Silver paint scheme and the 332nd's ferocity in combat. The 332nd fought in every major battle from Varnis V to Hoth, Endor and Jakku

I definitely had a toy TIE fighter as a kid (2000ish) that looked just like this render, with the rectangular extension at the back. Always thought that was just how the normal TIE fighter looked.

Nahh, that interpretation is totally forced by you. As you said, it's supposed to be a normal tie fighter. And just because there is a small visual error, that you can only see, when you know that it's there, does not make this canon. I mean even your interpretation of this Tie-Fighter is wrong when we apply your logic to your own creation.

I had those Tie and an x wing, I love my Star Wars toys, from the action figures, the death star (the section) and the ships, unfortunately due to ignorance that one day they would be worth it and that Finally we looked at them as toys, like children that we were, we did not give them proper care, some were stolen from us, others my brother gave them away and finally we ran out of them.

It features Tie Fighters wit almost round "wings".
