Who made God people with vivid imaginations and very evil intent. I know puts it in a nutshell but it's easy and simple and a genius doesn't have t to worry about trying to figure it out.

Can those who disbelieve in a self-created universe from nothing justify their view? Of course. We have no objective experience with - or evidence for - things just creating themselves from nothing. That's rational. But if that's the bar to clear then what else do we lack objective experience with and evidence for? Gods! 😄Does not that which is salutary to the goose also benefit the gander? 🤔

Yes, our universe had a beginning. And the bible agrees! But what if we had found our universe to be eternal? Would apologists today be admitting that the bible's kickoff is mistaken? 🤣Of course not! No, today we'd be hearing about how our "eternal" universe is evidence for their "eternal" god and how "In the beginning" should be interpreted "metaphorically" or "symbolically." A win/win scenario!

Scores of physical phenomena have been attributed to gods but then better, natural explanations were found. But never has a workable natural explanation been supplanted by a "supernatural" one. Never! This justifies the belief that, whatever caused the Big Bang and Biogenesis, gods had nothing to do with it. But apologists will tell you it's somehow wrong to bet on the horse that always wins. 🏇

Deism (i.e. agnostic theism) can be - hypothetically - justified with argument and evidence. But with a personal god (i.e. gnostic theism) comes a burden of objective proof. To understand, simply evaluate this statement: "I don't know if an 8'4" tall woman exists but I believe she's a good person who loves the smell of posies; hates being interrupted; likes opera; dislikes driving and she wants a new sofa." See the 🛒/🐴problem? The beliefs assume prior knowledge or they're just idle speculation. And apologists are always blathering about what their gods love/hate, like/dislike and want. Are they ever going to admit that all their beliefs about their gods' inner feelings, motivations and desires are just idle speculation? 😄No. Thus they are revealed as gnostic affirmers after all. Saying they don't know their god exists then going on to describe their god's personality makes apologists look so clueless! But stating they do know inherits a burden of objective proof they've never discharged. It's a common apologetic move: first argue that theism is more likely than atheism then make a gigantic leap of faith to a specific, personal god, hoping no one notices the elevation of the burden from rational justification to objective proof.
Yes, there are atheists who are really disbelievers or ultra-rare deniers who falsely profess neutrality to evade any burden to justify or prove their position. Weaksauce! But a much, much bigger problem is apologists like Shappy thinking that mere evidence and arguments for deism can substantiate their gnostic theism; their personal god, when objective proof is required.

Pro tip: do not let Christians get anywhere with referring to "creation". Questions like "who created X" or "how was X created if there is no god" are begging the question by being allowed to use the term "creation". The Christians are right on this one point, a creation implies a creator. You need to prove to me that a thing was created in the first place rather than simply coming into existence by natural processes before I will entertain any discussion about who or what that creator is. I have never talked to a Christian who has gotten past that hurdle.

Christians usually can’t understand that people can just… NOT believe. They imagine that atheists treat atheism as a religion, worshipping science and even viewing Darwin as a messiah-like figure. They truly believe that everyone knows deep down that god is real but we choose to turn our backs on him because we’re either angry with god (usually because somebody we love died) and/or because we like sinning and want to keep doing it.

We could be living in a simulation. I know this is said to be unlikely. Though when I became a computer tech and learnt to code, along with about thirty years of computer use I can see the possiblity that this could be true. Though we don't know.

But youre not God you're not looking at the forest only at the tree. These people, like Hitch who died of vocal cord cancer (Hm accident?) where literally the reason why people go into eternal punishment and are separated from God.
Now we have to think a step further if there really is a God and there is then theres also the Devil. And now just imagine him separating people from God and his plan: Corrupting Food, Birth control so more sex and therefore more lust because before that you had to think twice because of a baby, Social media Corrupting the Soul.

Atheist say they can't believe without evidence then you can't do anything anymore because you can't really proof anything.
To proof something means showing it can't be another way. You can't literally live like that.

Who made God, is catagorical fallacy God isnt creature so he dont have creator why? He is eternal if anything is eternal it doesnt has a cause becoz if ur beginingless u dont need a cause only things that begin to exist has a cause, 2nd there cant be infinite number of causal history it must stop at finite time before coz of infinite regression is fallacy and its impossible so the first uncaused cause must be d/t from the series like immaterial spaceless timeless coz if sth is material and in space and time it needs coz so there has to be sth necessary being... and cant we say universe is eternal first the modern science big bang theory doesnt allow that second is philosophical point earths property like time matter doesnt allow us to think universe is think universe is necessary existence

I don't understand how not having an answer to a question is somehow worse than making up the answer.

I love the question of "WHO created the universe" because... why does it have to be a "who" exactly? Why can't it be a "what"? Why does the universe have to have been made by a person or I guess more accurately an intelligent being? Why is someone creating the universe more plausible to you then a scientific process creating the universe?

Regardless of our disagreements elsewhere, it will always be a universal truth that religious-conservatives talk utter nonsense whenever religion is brought up 😂

What? I can't stand is as soon as you start to question a particular church and their beliefs. They will instantly point at you and say you never believed and you were never a Christian.
Even though you grew up in that church, accepted Christ in your heart in that church, you got baptized in that church confirmed in the church and yet you're not a Christian. Then what the hell makes you a Christian then?

As an ex-Christian who escaped the cult, your videos are really healing. I’m agnostic because I can’t imagine not having something to believe in—it genuinely feels unreal to think there may be no god, creator, or higher being for myself, so I’m agnostic, but it’s more for my own comfort than actual reason—but I love what you do so so much. I remember growing up in the church and feeling so awful. Seeing videos like yours reminds me that I’m not crazy for stepping out of the church.

To be honest, Christianity is really interesting from a psychological perspective. It’s so deeply messed up and immensely harmful to everyone in it (as someone who spent most of my life in it, I can definitely say that). The ingrained victimization you learn is crazy to figure out about. The assumption is that Christian’s are prosecuted, and that society is against you. It doesn’t matter if you scream at people going into planned parenthood for healthcare, or shout about your religion in everyone’s face at a barns and noble parking lot. Christians are soo hated, and it’s unreasonable that they are, and they just want to help people know and worship god. You also learn that “liberal colleges” (because if it’s not actively republican/conservative/christian it’s liberal!!) are trying to brainwash you with propaganda, and you need to lie to professors about what you actually think to get good grades (heavy yikes). It’s set up in a way that makes you really codependent. You hate yourself so much for the most normal, human things that you need Christianity to be okay.

Hot take is that the next time you hear someone make a religious, out of pocket comment, assume they’re projecting. They most likely are. Again, “education brainwashes you” (when I had to exclusively attend Christian organizations, homeschooling and private, from pre-K to 12th), people are out to get you (self explanatory), and YOU need god (also self explanatory).

All of that is to say I really appreciate these videos. A lot of the rhetoric makes me really upset and it’s nice to see someone calmly approach and explain their view on this type of content.

No I left a comment 5 months ago about this. And 2 weeks ago somebody actually asked me the same question. You've never seen a person get so pissed off like that girl and guy did. Nasty attitude girl asked me who made God. I said con man.

Is his question; " Who do you think created the universe?" I freaking hate it when christians ask me this, particularly ones who know for a fact that I am, always have, and always will be an atheist.

We also don't need to know everything. Our brains are only so big.
