Dude you simply cut those parts from the audio. Thats how yoy get clean vox. This is what beginners do.

When I go to look up gate, it's not showing up. Is there a reason for this

I know this is old but if you are struggling to find the gate make sure you don't have anything highlighted on the menu when you search for it, I had audio effects highlighted and it is not in there, click in all results at the bottom, then type it.
