I personally found Maxie fun, but easy. Camerupt is a meh mon, but Mightyena is amazing for an ORAS playthrough. Best dog mon next to Lycanroc. Lycanroc wins design, and Mightyena wins viability. Both are great dog mons.

This might be my favorite battle theme in all of pokemon.

Mega Camerupt was a badass Pokemon. Sheer Force on amazing coverage moves in the form of Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Earth Power, Ancient Power and Rock Slide. Under Trick Room this thing is an utter monster, destroying things easily. And best of all, with team support, Trick Room Eruption is a terrifying force to behold.
