Hang on, Henry VIII married Catherine of Aragon after his brothers death, it wasn’t out of passion, they had to be married to sustain support for the alliance with Aragón

Henry was a good king in that he kick started freedom from ties to the catholic church and formed the church of england. He was a king who wasnt going to be ruled and like any man in power retaliated against an establishment for his needs...so decided he was going to form a church so that he could make the rules and marry another... funny no? If this was wrong why wasnt he stopped? Who made up rules to suit himself and used religion to do it? Why cant people divorce if the marriage has failed and then suffer because a book tells you too? God says dont harm your body so we shouldnt smoke drink take drugs so we are terrible people yet why dont goverments ban these things if they are in power because it would lose them power and money and control...If only politicians thought about our freedom as much as their own pockets and status this world and humanity would be great but no that wont be allowed today...more kings like henry please in some respects not all...

A lot of these documentaries are very well made, however they are always very very kind to Anne. Let’s not forget this wasn’t some kind gentle great lady. She was what was known as a loose woman. She slept around in France she had a engagement prior to the king, then she strategically planned to split up the king of England and his long time legit wife. Then use that to cause a split in the holy church. Imo Anne got exactly done to her, what she deserved for doing to others. Her family killed many people including murdering those who was in their opinion to close to the king or if they paid them to do evil acts to keep it a secret they’d just have them killed. IE the boiling of the cook in the show the tudors that’s something that they would have had done. So a lot of these are to kind to Anne. Anne was historically known and famous person but the story needs told complete.
