I hope the team who is building and designing the Pioneer also heads up reconcept, design and building of the Endeavour and Crucible. Since all 3 of these are heavy industry ships they should be able to do it justice.

“The considerable attention” ship has to be a fighter. It says the attention was for cockpit entry animations. That implies cockpit only ship to me. Could be wrong. Perhaps the heavy Krueger fighter?

Id love to see a ship that looks like the Federal Corvette from Elite Dangerous. Top mounted rear biased cockpit, angular armored styling, 2 giant guns behind you and the whole ISD vibe.

I mean, the Ironclad and Ironclad assault have the same thruster setup. And Ironclad assault is obviously designed to land on the planet, it's not gonna be dropping tonks from orbit xD

Wasn't there mention of a fully separate hover type entry platform? Like it just lowers to the ground without any rails or other connection to the ship. I think that's what the mention of new entry system is about.
