Wait... since when can you put animals on the pole? Poles work the same way as cages, and you cant put animals in cages, ergo, you cant put animals on poles. I smell a mod...

Perhaps this game should start with invincible animals, just to save our time of cheating. LOL

how about purchase a pup animal, go to hive wait untill gorillo beating down by hiver. pick up the gorillo to hub, there is a shack with bed that can be use. Put the gorillo down heal him up, pick your animal and left there with the gorillo. Set all crewa as passive so your animal can fight the gorillo alone. By this way, your animal would improve so many stats, attack, defence, toughness maybe strengh if you put heavy items inside the animal backpack.

how would you go about training a processor tanker unit, or one of those iron butcher spider things?

But you have a max. Of dmg reduction is 65% above 100, will be all 65%

I tend to keep 2 Skelletons with lockpicking and thievery in Mongrel for easy money making and aquiring high quality robotlimbs if needed.
Works pretty well with them, as the foggers do not kidnap them if they happen to go down.
Also a lot faster to heal up from injuries with repairkits and the robotics bed.

I also noticed that Fog Princes and Fog Heavies do not care about skeletons as long as they are not trying to attack them and other fogmen.
So you can literally stand next to the pole and first aid the animal to squeeze out more points per 'training session' and level some first aid.
This also makes it easy if you want to replace limbs on fleshy characters. You just got to make sure to rescue them and kite away regular fogmen if they follow a prince for worshipping.

Also, picking a deathyard near mongrel has it's Pro's and Con's.
Pro :
quick to get to relative safety and proper beds
Con : Mongrel Guards may interrupt your training and get butchered in the long run, as they run around on their own and you picking them up is sometimes considered kidnapping, so you cannot help them if they go down.

Wiki says Toughness increase Damage Resistance by 0.01 each level. Looks more like 0.013 (I'm guessing 1 would be 100% damage resistance)
You start at - 0.65 at 0 Toughness (0.65 at 100). Does that mean that I need 135 Toughness for Buckshot (my bonedog) to be "immune" to damage?
You got 33 Thoughness I think..... 1 : 0,03 (unless the game rounds some numbers up)

also..... Does Bonedogs/pets use martial arts when they attack? Because Toughness seem to increase martial arts damage allot for my bonedog. I see great potential.

cheese? I don't know. Ranger training with 0 ammo shot, that IS cheese. This one (being eaten alive while bound to a pole) is tough. It has to train toughness. Besides, you have to organize the entire operation. It is great.

I named my bonedog after our real life dog. I don't think I can stomach this approach. Allow my character to get beaten to a pulp over and over, lose limbs? Sure. My dog eaten alive? Nope. Creative method, though. :)

Does it only work on pups or do adult animals work too?

hmm could do this with every animal good vid dude but like you kinda said get a super strong super fast character then get a baby animal slightly torture it with fogmen and once fully grown it can be beast I've have done this with training attack on a dog as a pup as it grew up the attack was insane but at the time the toughness was terrible
