Just A little FYI, I work of my local city, We just like most all have an Emergency Response or Emergency management group. These people work to put together a plan on what and how all the departments do when a major problem occurs. This is a massive job that involves many outside organizations and providers. We keep looking every day at possible Emergencies and how to deal with them. Then we get together with other local communities to see how if the Emergency grows outside our community how we respond, And this expansion in distance keeps growing.. Not that many people know how much work goes into planning for a disaster, But it is a 24 Hr a day job. Just remember to say thank you to all the hard working people you see trying to get your life back to Normal. This is what we do and what we train for. Your City And State Employees are like Surges, ready to go to work whenever needed to save a life.

I was without power for a few days a well along with no water for 2. It's amazing how we take some things for granted. What I learned is to be more prepared, but what I enjoyed was seeing everyone outside. Kids playing outside!!! Internet came back yesterday. You need to be very proud of how you are totally emersed in your family. Super props to you, Brian! Enjoy your content.

Brain! Thanks for shearing this video thanks for sharing your experience. May God continue to protect your family. We pray for those families that lost their loved ones. And we need to start being more caring in the world. Helping each other out because we don't know what mother nature will do and how she will do what she do when she choose to do what she do. Please forgive me about my dues. Keep up the good work Brian. I love you and your family.

Brian, the utility companies start repairs on main transmission power lines, then work to substation transformer yards, then work their way out to re-establishing power to the individual homes. They have a priority list of hospitals, first responders, grocery stores, fuel stations, etc.

Bro! Did I get sucked into a time warp? The Mrs. Latimer now has a 'mini her' now?!? I remember Brev's birth, then Brooks, but then everything went dark on my web, because I took a long break from it all. Now, I get back on and you have a beautiful daughter bro! You are living the life and I will (at least) go to social media and your channel to continue supporting you man. This video was awesome, and I don't feel bad for Mrs. Latimer emotionally, because she now has her 'Mini Her'. I noticed, you have her on the tiny e-motorbike, I thought, OH BOY, WATCH OUT! There may be another phenomenon in the making as well as Brev. I love your channel brother, but I just had to take a break from it all. For the fact that this video popped up in my algorithm when I got back on is a sign for me in my life. God Bless!

Glad yall are all ok. To restore power after an event like that... hundreds, or even thousands of people, from companies all over the place working 24/7. When i was stationed down in TX, Hurricane Ike nailed us down in Galveston, I saw companies from MA and MI. When Sandy hit NY/NJ there was companies from SC and GA turning and burning...despite what we see in the world today, when shit hits the fan, ppl still come together and help each other out.

Awesome vid Brian! Awesome win for Brevyn!!!!
That Brooks… Man that kid is so funny! Brevyn is so darned polite and mature, always calm a collected. It's a joy to see the beautiful young man you're raiding him to be. He reminds me of my 20 year old, only Brevyn is fearless, while mine is a bit reserved and timid. Brooks on the other hand is going to be a bit more challenging! LOL
He's so extra in different ways sometimes but you handle him perfectly. He ran awesome out there! WooHoooo!

The reason power companies now know how to get things back up and running is because we here in Florida have had to figure it out. In 1992 we were without power from 2- 6 weeks in some areas because literally EVERYTHING was GONE!!!, Not some, not a bit here and there, but when you went down further south of Miami in Homestead, as far as the eye could see, for the most part it was clear horizon, with maybe a portion of a house or two still standing. Entire neighborhoods were blown to nothing but small planks of wood and debris. No light posts, no power lines, NOTHING!!!

Never seen anything like that, but that was partly due to construction companies cutting corners and not building to code and inspectors allowing it because they were not he payroll. Things have changed since then, but there are still construction companies and inspectors collaborating to continue that same crap.

As for Electric companies, after Hurricane Andrew in 1992, FPL (Florida Power and Light) and other power companies had to band together to come up with a plan to restore power as fast as possible and they installed brand new everything from the ground up in those areas and completed what initially took years, in about 2 months time. Those techniques have filtered out to other places and they work like a machine! Power company employees do so much for EVERYONE and not enough is said about it. Shout out to them!

Glad you guys are doing fine BLat!
Hoping Milton doesn't hit is hard down here, but we are prepared, as always.

We live off of US 276 above Travelers Rest and we were without electricity for 9 days, there's several homes near the river that were flooded, and a lot of houses and cars messed up from falling trees. 250 miles from the coast, none of us that it would be this bad.

I pray that the Lord continue to keep you all afloat as you go through this tough time. Just remember that before we did tournaments, we caught fish to eat. So food should not be your problem. Also, you know how to make a fire. A few catch and cooks of spotted bass and bluegill is going to hurt much considering the tough times that you’re in at the moment. 🙏🏿👏🏿🎣😢

Here in California we have lots of huge fires on an annual basis. So I learned two years ago to prepare to be off grid for two weeks. We have two whole house generators that are dual fuel. I have propane and gasoline stored. I add stabill to the gasoline so that I can keep it for longer than four weeks. I usually switch it out once every eight weeks. Your hurricanes are just reminding me to do a once over of my emergency preparedness. Again, may God be with you all.👏🏿👏🏿🎣🙏🏿

Glad to see you and your family are safe. Sorry to send you Helene from here in Florida. Thoughts and prayers to the famillies of those who have lost homes, lost family members, and in some cases lost everything they had. We are now dealing with Milton here in west central Florida. Two hurricanes in two weeks is crazy. I did learn something. I underestimated the power of the storm. We were not as prepared as we should have been. But it was my first hurricane. See you on the next one.

I work for a public water utility and I went through hurricane Laura. People just don't know what it takes and what utility service men and women go through whether rain, sleet, snow ,or even a hurricane to repair things like water, lights, or any utilities. Be careful not to take small things like those for granted. It takes a lot for you to just simplify turn on a light or turn on water to bath, wash clothes.

I WASNT AFFECTED BY THE STORM AT ALL I LIVE IN ARIZONA. BUT I DID LEARN SOMETHING FROM THIS STORM, I LEARNED THAT OUR GOVERNMENT DOES NOT WANT TO HELP OUR PEOPLE THEY ONLY WANT TO HELP THE ILLEGALS. FOR THEM TO GIVE THEM OVER 1 BILLION DOLLARS AND THEN OFFER ONLY 750 THAT OUR PEOPLE HAVE TO PAY BACK AND IF THEY DONT THEY WILL TAKE EVERYTHING YOU OWN IS A DISGRACE AND A SLAP IN THE FACE TO ALL THE VICTIMS. SO IF YOU KNOW ANYONE THAT IS THINKING ABOUT TAKING THAT MONEY PLEASE LET THEM KNOW THAT IN THE CONTRACT THEY WANT THEM TO SIGN IN VERY SMALL PRINT IT SAYS THAT IF THEY DO NOT PAY IT BACK THEN THEY WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE EVERYTHING YOU OWN. ITS TO A HAND OUT ITS A WAY FIR THEM TO GET ALL THAT LAND FOR 750. THEY WANT WHAT IS UNDER ALL THAT LAND. IM SAD TO SAY THIS BUT OUR GOVERNMENT IS BEING RAN BY THIEFS AND LIERS. PLEASE I BEG YOU ALL TO GET OUT ANYWAY YOU CAN AND VOTE FOR TRUMP WE NEED HIM TO CLEAN HOUSE AND I MEAN THE WHITE HOUSE. LOVE YOU AND GOD BLESS EVERY LAST ONE THAT HAS SUFFERED BY THE STORM.

Hey Brian, glad you and your family are doing well. As a family man I would like to suggest to you a solar generator with battery back up and solar panels. I served 30 years in the military and I've been away from home a lot. One of the scariest things was my family being home in my absence without power and emergency items to survive. I was able to perform my duties with peace of mind knowing that my family is safe and taken care of. I know you love your family as I do mine and I wish you the best.

Don't take it for granted that you have the health to climb stairs. I live next to a 75 year old woman on the 7th floor of a condo building in Florida and we were without power for 5 days no elevator my poor neighbor was stuck on the 7th floor of our building with no power for 5 days. I was able to take the stairs . I offered to help her ,carry her and she would not budge. On the 5th day at 11 :33 pm the lights came on and we were dancing outside .
