When the opera Die Fledermaus was being presented probably on New Year's at Convent Gardens this showstopper was choreographed for Johan and Alina to dance for the singers' entertainment as part of the opera. The construction of the waltz and attention to detail are meticulous such as Alina throwing confetti and the fanny lift. It is always a pleasure to watch and listen to the glorious waltz. ( I saw the opera in a different venue without Alina and Johan or Natalie Dessay singing the lyrics and I fell asleep. ❤Sorry to go on but thanks.)❤❤

I have always called this truly delightful Pás "Voices of Spring Waters."

I always thought it was a tribute to the great MESSERER show piece "Spring Waters" with delicious Ashton add-ons.

La Cojocaru is best here feeling everything in the choreography and music to the bone marrow. She's very swashbuckling.
The rapid speed of those supported pirouettes is Assoluta territory. Kobborg is the perfect husband.

It's a bubbly 🍾 Dom Perignon champagne performance.

I think they danced it at ABT when they were guest stars at a gala.
