My mom past about 2 years ago .
And I need to clean up all these things I have all over the place . I looked at all these things as when my hart was broken I staked it and it stayed their My hart is still broken and it's hard to be happy cleaning up I hope I can find a way to cheer up so I can clean up moms stuff and be happy doing it

Love the supportive attitude! Your e such a sweetie. Ive been wearing headbands lately too! Turn that headband around with the tie on top sometimes! ALSO, I use ORS OR Shea Moisture brand shampoo for a few years now and its made my hair stronger and heavier. It's found with what some stores call "ethnic" products, and when it's locked behind a case, I raise hell cuz that's b.s.

But, what about the stuff that is irreplaceable? Take pictures maybe before good will? That is my problem. Definitely emotional! I must do it though. I want to be ready to retire and travel, NOT hoe out the house and barn!

Great video! I struggle most getting rid of childhood objects or stuff related to family members who have passed away. There's definitely an emotional aspect to clutter.

I know someone who declutters people's houses for a living. I need to get in a habit too! But, when I declutter I have a GOODWILL pile and a throwaway pile and "give to my sister" pile. But, my sister gets to go through the Goodwill pile first :)

Reason being, Less is NOT more & minimalism is for, excuse the expression; "dead people - can't take it with you". Hahaha. I am going to finish watching your video!! Happy Homesteading!! ☺☺😎😎

Great video. The only thing I would add is that many folks save things that belonged to deceased loved ones. They can feel guilt over even thinking of donating or selling anything that their loved one owned especially if the loved one was fond of it. It is helpful for them to keep one or two favorite things from each person that they honestly like as a decoration or is useful. For instance I saved a pretty framed embroidered project that my mother in law made as well as her pie server. (She made the best apple pies!) I am not into knickknacks so they were all donated. Her furniture was not my style so that was donated or given to family members. Your loved one would not want you bogged down with clutter, just as you won’t when you pass on!
