it's interesting to me how so many soundtracks for a while were starting to adopt those sounds. ex machina, mass effect, and so many others all started to morph into similar ambiances. i think that era is over and stuff is branching out more again but it did give us some good, concentrated monster synth-oriented OSTs to obsess over (:
