Does anyone know why the Eleven Lite plugin is missing from within Pro Tools? I downloaded the plugin file from Avid, installed it, I can see it on my Avid Application Manager screen as "installed", but it is not in Pro Tools itself. Anyone got any ideas?

If you want to record both vocals and acoustic guitar at the same time, do you need two microphones? Would you need a audio interface with more inputs?

Nice looking tele. Sounds great. What a wonderful age we live in. One of my first jobs was working in a music studio in Nashville. Massive analog equipment that filled huge rooms and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in 1990s money. When I wanted to record at home, I had to satisfy myself with a Tascam 4 track tape deck that was still several hundred dollars.

Flash forward 25 years and for the cost of that single 4 track tape recorder, you could have a ton of exponentially better sounding recording equipment. What a time to be alive.

Graham, you’re so much more comfortable on guitar than bass. Less frowning (hard concentration) and more smiling (relaxed). Always a joy to hear good music being put and come together.

The tip for doubling up the electric guitars is genius for me (even though it may be a standard thing to do). I’ll experiment doing this with my instrument (Caribbean Steel Drum) with various settings. Love the idea for panning alone. I was wondering how I could create more depth and interest. This is certainly one way that would help.

Good info and demo but you have to be able to afford this gear and software . Plus learn how to use the software its expensive .

Something I do that helps, is to remember to leave room for a "count down" or count in, at the start of the song. A count "in" really helps for coming in on that first note or beat. 1, 2, 3, 4 can be done in any fashion as long as it lands me on that first note and beat. When I first started doing it, the process seemed clumsy and a bit wobbly but the more I did it, the more I got at ease with the counting and thus the coming in on time. You can always mute the Count later or substitute Drum Stick clicks for the numbers.

Your method for recording acoustic guitar with the mic Angie’s towards the neck is the best micing technique I’ve ever tried. I’m re-recording all my acoustic tracks now using this method. Thanks for your awesome channel.
