Those were the days !!!
ОтветитьAnd we saw them on Woodward Avenue at night on the weekends. What a time to be alive for a gearhead. Thank you to all the different car companies who "sneaked" out there and seeded the enthusiast with Red Meat. ben/ michigan
ОтветитьWTF insane!!
ОтветитьJust swapping on a pair of 12 inch wide slicks propelled the Hemi Dart into the 10.7s at 130 mph, and that was before the racers started "fine tuning it", and before all you Hemi hating trolls out there start tuning up the band, that's exactly what a collector did after he restored a Hemi Dart back to factory specs. Replicas of these cars (along with 68 Super Stock Hemi Barracudas) are still being raced to this day in the Super Stock Nostalgia Class, and they're so fast they actually race in a class all by themselves.
ОтветитьNot stock ...... suped up
ОтветитьAwesome collection of great cars!!!❤
ОтветитьYenko.
ОтветитьI don't believe that any of the muscle cars had more then 425 horses.. perhaps some had about 430 - 435.
But all were around the 400 hp area
Edit*
At least not from the factory
AI
ОтветитьI’d get a dodge dart if I could find one
ОтветитьAnd then the tree huggers stuck their noses into car manufacturers and all of a sudden it was hard to find a car that could climb a typical SF street.
Ответитьi'll own a catalina one day
ОтветитьReal muscle cars are being built now.
ОтветитьI have three of each.
ОтветитьThe first one just looks like a Ford LTD station wagon
ОтветитьYeah, They weren't secret
ОтветитьBanA/I narration
ОтветитьJust read it yourself, that God damn voice triggers my fight or flight and makes me wanna find you
ОтветитьDude there's no need for the ai clean up over the video. It just makes it look worse
ОтветитьIn '62 the Catalina Super Duty also had the 421c.i. with0 pool 4 speed, aluminum hood and front fenders and special gearing.
Ответить600+ horsepower in 1964 is crazy 😭
ОтветитьDidn't even mention the V8 Gremlins
ОтветитьThose cars were more racecars than anything else. The Thunderbolt never had 600hp, more like 500 and still nore than enough
The 65 Mustang for A/FX had 600hp from it's 427 Cammer
I’d give up the internet right now to go back and live in those days knowing what I know!
ОтветитьThat Catalina is beautiful
ОтветитьDetroit really didn't keep them a secret as much as they simply didn't market them. You didn't buy cars then like you do today. Probably the fastest of the bunch of the factory cars was the AMX Super Stock. Several places indicate "The best recorded quarter-mile was 10.73 seconds at 128 mph". Not too shabby.
ОтветитьThey made a 426 hemi Dart?!
😂❤😂😅😂❤😅😂❤😅!!!
😍
Ответитьgarbage ai video idiots!
ОтветитьEverybody knows about them
ОтветитьI can't listen to your voice any longer
ОтветитьThat’s awesome….
ОтветитьThe orange one at the begining is a Plymouth baracuda
ОтветитьThe green on that Pontiac is beautiful!
ОтветитьI disagree with everything you said. This AI doesn’t know shit.
Ответить1. Why would they try to hide a product they are trying to sell?
2. When does the forbidden part come into play?
3. Isn't it fraud to lie about these things to make money?
AI and that Pontiac was called a Super Duty, was not just a regular Catalina.
ОтветитьWHY IS THIS FAKE VOICE THE ONLY ONE EVER USED..
So sick of hearing it
Nothing compares to old school american cars
ОтветитьMusic sucks!!
ОтветитьWe had a 65 Catalina. At 80 mph, when you kicked it into passing gear it would smoke the tires.
ОтветитьWhat a terrible voice on this video.
ОтветитьI love the narrator’s intense description’s and analogies. 😂😂😂 so fast that professional drivers were afraid to race it!! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьSome of the crovetts were actually really racecars and had more horse power than they said they were and made them more expensive
ОтветитьHad two automotive instructors that raced the thunderbolt ,Ulrey brothers seymour Indianna
ОтветитьWrong year on that Fairlane Thunderbolt -- it's a 1963 Ford, not 1964.
Ответить"Tried to hide"
All of them were manufactured and sold to the public...
>What???
The Catalina was beautiful car
ОтветитьWith modern tire technology these cars could have gone a full second quicker.
Ответить
