Someone PLEASE explain why always the power button dies on MacBooks? I have exactly the same problem on mine. Not the ribbon cable. I lifted the power key cap,
and can't see any corrosion there.

I love solutions like this. Not everyone has extra money laying around to spend on stuff if something breaks. Thanks for giving us more options!!!

I'd push it a bit more, powering on with the fridge door.
🤔 Or the door bell.

Good cheap solution but I would also peek under the pwer button for liquid damage, maybe the problem is only under the button?

Keyboard is a bit of a nightmare for those machines (A1502). I got mine done years ago for about $126. I need a new keyboard again and this time it'll be much easier as the grommets have already been removed.

There are some unconventional regulations in some countries.
I recall some 11 or 12 years ago - using a MASTERCARD/VISA
was not permitted for online purchases by residents of JORDAN.
whether the regulation continues to apply in 2025 - I do not know

Maybe another idea to try is a tiny micro push button switch in the side from hole you drill and connect two wires back to PW 3.3V? YES!! it would destroy "collect ability" of the laptop, but you could also remove something and temp put it there and remove later and no damage...

I think its not working fine. The lid sensor has 0V when closed and 3.3V when open, so is exactly the reverse of the power button. Thats why you have to close the lid quick before the laptop shuts down, otherwize, if the laptop is already off and you close the lid, will start the laptop. And if the laptop is off with the lid closed, opening the lid will not turn it on, you have to open, then close to turn it on, the open again to use it. I think so at least. I think its the only way because if the states would be reversed it would men the the laptop would not come on any way because it would think the lid is closed, this of course if you leave the lid sensor on the board. Anyways, great video as always. big fan. You are the reason I just start recording videos on a new channel. So if you can give me a shout out will appreciate it.

Modern macbooks does not have a lid switch.
They replaced with a angle sensor - maybe a encoder or something like that.

Hello! Please tell me what could be wrong with the laptop. Acer Aspire vn7-593g battery charging stopped at 67% but the laptop continued to work from the power supply, if you disconnect the power supply, the laptop immediately turns off. It does not turn on from the battery and does not charge it. Aida64 shows battery wear of 16%, battery voltage of 16.116 and slowly drops as does the current battery capacity.
The battery is not swollen, the laptop did not overheat, there are no burnt out parts, it was not flooded with water.

What seems to be the cause of a lot of random problems? Is it being dropped? Because i've recently had a right speaker go out on an OLED G8 for no reason. Ive handled it with care, but it may have been mishandled in handling. That or a faulty connection on the right speaker maybe?
