I am like 5''7 and a half and I weigh around 69-72Kg. It is short like he mentioned but that's the style but I kinda like it

Nice video but I see people around the world pronouncing it wrong. Nuptse( noop-tse) is a Tibetan word, meaning “West” inspired from another famous mountain in the West of Mount Everest.

I have a question I am 1.75 and 65kg what size I can buy ?

I have several puffer jackets (Peak performance 2L down parka, Peak performance frost down oversized jacket, North Face Retro Nuptse, Haglöfs Puffy Mimic Hood, North Face 1994 Retro Himalayan, Tindur down jacket from 66north) all cool puffer jackets but there are still that "something" about the Retro Nuptse from The North Face. A bigger size that normal, use the elastic cords at the bottom to make it cropped and boxy. You MUST try it!!

I purchased the 1996 version (brown color). Very nice coat. I'd recommend it to a friend without a doubt. The only thing I'd say about this coat in regards to something it lacks is the coat material being unable to resist water. I'd recommend that you avoid wearing it in rainy/wet conditions because it seems to me that it can become less appealing if it gets wet often. Other than that, it is a great purchase.

Retro Nuptse? I still have the Nuptse I bought in the 90s, although it doesn’t get worn much since moving to Florida from CO several years ago.

Throw it in the trash can haha.

I got my first one in 1999 and it stayed either me three long years living out deep in the woods of Dilwyn, VA. It was brutal but that jacket kept me warm. The gray sleeves were stained with red-clay and it had stains from sap but never quit working. That and an OG Denali fleece kept me alive basically. Great jacket. I won’t buy another down jacket without a hood though. After decades of this.. a hood ads about 50% more warmth and absolutely worth it I think.

Good review. These will be the nicest weekend warriors jacket you ever buy, or can last a solid five to ten years of hiking abuse.

Nuptse 1996 jacket drawstring loose

Unfortunately, I have to report a production defect in the current Nuptse 1996 jackets. It affects every current Nuptse 1996 jacket.

The drawstring with the stoppers for adjustment doesn't hold properly. If you tighten the jacket, the drawstrings loosen themselves within a very short time. The tighter you put the jacket, the faster they loosen.
It's probably because the springs in the stoppers are too weak or the straps are too slippery for the stopper.

I've tried three new Originals unused Nuptse 1996 jackets in different sizes. The flaw with each jacket is more or less the same.

Should this be the case or is it an undiscovered serial error?

As a solution, a knot remains in front of the stopper once you have adjusted the jacket.

There's no problem with my Fleeski fleece jackets with zippers. The drawstrings are bombproof no matter how tight you put them.

The old Nuptse version eralierer than 2021 had this problem not?!

bought mine recently from the official website I am in Europe.

BAD:
-> the material is very bad, it can easly be broken.
-> it leaks feather.
-> Too much expensive for the quality.

GOOD:
-> it does keep you really worm.
-> It looks great

You can wear a XL for a relaxed fit.

What is the name of the colour on this? It looks closet to the duck green one but I’m not sure.

I bought a retro Nuptse a few years ago. Not a super warm jacket. Not good for 30 degrees or less especially if there is a wind chill blowing. Solid for early spring and cool but not really cold weather.

Went to Japan in December. EVERYONE seemed to be styling the Nuptse, mostly younger affluent couples.
